一年當中有許多節日——春節、元宵節、端午節和中秋節……在節日里，我們會吃各種各樣的食品、進行各種各樣的特色活動。下面就讓我們一起來看看本期的話題——節日。

一、常用表達?

1. In China, the Spring Festival is the biggest festival of the year. 中國最大的節日是春節。

2. In the West, Christmas is the biggest festival of the year. 西方最大的節日是圣誕節。

3. —What dishes are usually served at the tables on the Spring Festival?

春節的餐桌上通常有什么菜？

—Fish, pork, chicken as well as jiaozi. 有魚、豬肉、雞，還有餃子。

4. —What’s your favorite festival? 你最喜歡的節日是什么？

—I like the Mid-Autumn Festival the most, because we can eat mooncakes.

我最喜歡中秋節，因為我們可以吃月餅。

5. —How is the Dragon Boat Festival celebrated? 端午節是怎么慶祝的？

—There must be dragon boat races and people eat zongzi. 這天必定有龍舟賽，人們還吃粽子。

6. —What festivals are there in the West? 西方有哪些節日？

—There is Christmas Day, Easter and Halloween. 有圣誕節、復活節和萬圣節。

7. I also know that the Water Festival is really fun. 我還知道潑水節很有趣。

二、對話演練?

從方框中選出合適的選項補全對話，其中有兩項是多余選項。

Li Fei:Yes, it’s on the fifth day of the fifth lunar[陰歷的]month. We call it Dragon Boat Festival.

Nathan:

Li Fei:Oh, it is a story about Qu Yuan. He lived about two thousand years ago. His job was to give advice to the emperor. But he wasn’t trusted and often got punishment. So he jumped into the Miluo River and died.

Nathan:Was the day that Qu Yuan died on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month in that year?

Li Fei:From then on, Chinese people began to eat zongzi and have dragon boat races on that day to memorize him.

1 You’re welcome. 不要客氣。

他人有事請我們幫忙，我們在能力范圍內幫完之后，他人自然會道謝。此時我們可使用本句回應。

A:Thank you for lending me your notebook. 謝謝你借給我筆記本。

B:Oh, you’re welcome. 噢，不要客氣。

【常用口語】

That’s the least I could do. 小事不足掛齒。

Not at all.=Don’t mention it. 別客氣。

【特別提醒】

除了上列類似用語之外，年輕人還喜歡用“You bet.”。此句原意為“你可以打賭（下回我仍會幫你忙）。”，故可引申為“不要客氣”。

2 It’s my fault. 那是我的錯。

認錯往往需要很大的勇氣，但如果我們確實犯了錯，不應畏縮逃避找借口，而應當勇于承認錯誤，這時可使用本句。相信如此行為必能贏得對方的欽佩與敬重。

A:Why is there water all over the bathroom floor? 為什么浴室的地板全是水？

B:I’m sorry. It’s my fault. I was filling the bathtub and I left the water running too long, so it overflew.

很抱歉，是我的錯。剛才我在給浴缸放水，讓水流了太久，結果水溢出來了。

A:That’s OK. As long as you clean it up. 沒關系。只要你把地板清理干凈就行了。

【常用口語】

It’s my mistake. 那是我的錯。

I’m to blame. 應該怪我。

【特別提醒】

“I’m to blame.”使用了“sb.+be+to blame”的句型，表“某人應受責/負責”。例如：

He’s to blame for the mistake.=He should be responsible for the mistake. 他應為此錯誤負責。

3 Believe me. 相信我。

本句與“I’m positive.” 的句意及使用的時機相近。使用本句時，語氣要堅定，才能獲得對方的信任。

A:Are you saying you saw an eagle? There are no eagles here.你是說你看到了一只老鷹嗎？我們這里是沒有老鷹的。

B:Yes, I saw one. Believe me. 有，我看見一只。相信我。

A:You must have seen some other kind of bird. 你必定是看到其他種類的鳥了。

【常用口語】

I’m telling the truth. 我是說真的。

Trust me.相信我。

【特別提醒】

上列對話中，使用了“must have+p.p.”的句型，表“必定曾經……”，這是對發生在過去的事情作肯定的推測，類似的句型還有：“may have+p.p.（也許曾經……）”，及“can’t have+p.p.（不可能曾經……）”。例如：

He may have come here yesterday. 他昨天可能來過這兒。

The road is dry, so it can’t have rained last night. 路上是干的，所以昨晚不可能下過雨。

4 I told you so. 我早就告訴過你了。

有時我們提供良心的建議給對方，然而對方卻不采納，導致錯誤發生。這時可以說這句話，說時語氣是略帶責難的。

A:This computer isn’t working properly. 這臺計算機運作不正常。

B:I told you so. I kept having problems with it yesterday. I don’t know what’s wrong.

我早就告訴過你了。昨天它一直問題不斷。不知是哪兒出了毛病。

A:We need to get it fixed soon. 我們必須趕緊把它修好。

【常用口語】

I told you. 我早就告訴過你了。

Didn’t I tell you? 我沒告訴過你嗎？

【特別提醒】

上列對話中，使用了“have problems with+sth.”的句型，表“在做某件事情時遇到困難”，本句型也可替換為“have difficulty/trouble/a hard time+V-ing”。例如：He had problems with the work.

= He had difficulty doing the work.= He had trouble doing the work.

= He had a hard time doing the work.

他做這份工作遇到了困難。
