虎鯨可以模仿人類語言

據研究，虎鯨的語言遠比人類復雜，不同的族群，方言都不一樣。近日科學家教會了一頭名為“Wikie”的雌性虎鯨通過噴氣孔擠壓空氣來模仿人類“說話”。Wikie今年16歲，生活在法國的一家海洋主題公園。它能夠說出“hello”“bye bye”“Amy”等詞語，并能夠從1數到3。

Killer Whale Can Mimic Human Language

According to the study, the language of killer whales is far more complicated than that of human beings. Different killer whale groups have different dialect. Recently, scientists have taught a female killer whale named “Wikie”to mimic human “talk” by squeezing the air through her blowhole. Wikie,16, lives in a maritime theme park in France.Wikie has quite the speech repertoire. In mimicking words such as"hello" and "bye bye," Wikie is able to say a number of words and can count from 1 to 3.

瑞士餐廳禁止活煮龍蝦

一只生在瑞士的龍蝦，是有尊嚴的龍蝦。早前瑞士政府下令，全面禁止餐廳蒸煮活龍蝦，因為這一狀態下，龍蝦可能承受巨大痛苦。根據新規，包括龍蝦在內的生猛有殼海鮮必須在蒸煮前進行麻醉處理。新規將于2018年3月1日生效。

A lobster born in Switzerland is a lobster with dignity. Switzerland’s new measure stipulates that beginning March 1, lobsters must be knocked out — either by electric shock or “mechanical destruction” of the brain — before boiling them since lobsters may be under tremendous pain when they are boiled alive.

23歲機器人成新聞主播

日本科學家最新研制出了一款仿生機器人“艾麗卡”（Erica），其外形設計頗似一位23歲的妙齡女子，可能很快就會成為日本的電視新聞主播。日本大阪大學智能機器人實驗室主任石黑浩（Hiroshi Ishiguro）表示，預計2018年4月份，“艾麗卡”將取代人類新聞主播。

23-year-old Android will Soon Become a TV News Anchor

Japanese scientists recently developed “Erica”, a lifelike android designed to look like a 23-year-old woman, and may soon become aTV news anchor in Japan. Hiroshi Ishiguro, director of the Laboratory for Intelligent Robotics at Osaka University in Japan, said that in April 2018, “Erica” is expected to replace a human news anchor on the airwaves.

麋鹿實為純正中國血統

麋鹿，世界珍稀動物，國際自然保護聯盟IUCN紅皮書極危級物種。這種曾經出現在中國神話故事中的動物，寓意吉祥，在我國民間素有“四不像”之稱。其實麋鹿原產于長江中下游地區，100多年前從中國滅絕。1985年，中國從英國將38頭麋鹿重新引入。

China is the Homeland of Milu

The rare animal milu deer isa critically endangered species on the red list of the International Union for Conservation of Nature. This animal once appeared in the Chinese mythological story,implying auspiciousness. It was called “four unlike” in China.In fact, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River region was the hometown of milu. Though endemic to China, milu became extinct there during the latter part of the 19th century. And 38 milu were later reintroduced to their homeland in China from the U.K. in 1985.

鴛鴦其實很“花心”
