中國首次發表《中國與世界貿易組織》白皮書

White paper on China and WTO released

6月28日，中國國務院新聞辦公室發表《中國與世界貿易組織》白皮書。這是中國首次就這一問題發表白皮書。為全面介紹中國履行加入世貿組織承諾的實踐，闡釋中國參與多邊貿易體制建設的原則立場和政策主張，闡明中國推進更高水平對外開放的愿景與行動，中國政府特發表本白皮書。白皮書說：“中國全面履行了加入世界貿易組織的承諾，大幅開放市場，在更大范圍內實現了互利共贏。”中國2001年加入世界貿易組織，這是中國深度參與經濟全球化的里程碑，標志著中國改革開放進入歷史新階段。

China’s State Council Information Of fi ce released a white paper titled “China and the World Trade Organization” for the fi rst time on June 28th.The Chinese government is publishing this white paper to give a full account of China’s ful fi llment of its World Trade Organization (WTO) commitments, to explain China’s principles, stances, policies, and propositions regarding the multilateral trading system, and to describe China’s vision and actions in advancing higher-level reform and openingup, according to the white paper.“China has comprehensively ful fi lled its commitments to the WTO, substantially opened its market to the world, and delivered mutually bene fi cial and win-win outcomes on a wider scale.” it says.China acceded to the WTO in 2001. This was a milestone in China’s integration into economic globalization, marking a new historic stage of reform and opening-up.

中國特高壓輸電技術助力打造全球電網

China’s global role as a leading power supplier

在老撾、巴西、中非和中國，特高壓輸電技術降低輸電成本、增加輸送容量，從而讓長距離輸電具備商業可行性，使得建設大規模電力項目變得可行。該技術的最大支持者、掌舵國家電網十多年的劉振亞，把這項技術譽為電力行業的“洲際彈道導彈”。特高壓輸電技術讓中國得以在多山的內陸地區建大量水壩，然后將電力輸送到數千公里以外富裕、工業發達的東部沿海地區。2016年，劉振亞提出利用這項技術把電力輸送到遠至德國的地方。如今，劉振亞正通過他的全球能源互聯網倡議在全球推廣特高壓輸電技術。

In Laos, in Brazil, in central Africa and most of all in China itself, ultra high-voltage cable technology that allows power to be commercially transported over vast distances with lower costs and increased load is justifying the construction of massive power projects. It is dubbed the “intercontinental ballistic missile” of the power industry by Liu Zhenya, its biggest backer and for a decade the president of State Grid, China’s powerful transmission utility. UHV allowed China to binge on dam building in its mountainous hinterland, then transport the power thousands of kilometres to its wealthy, industrial east coast. Mr Liu in 2016 proposed using the technology to export power as far away as Germany. Now Mr Liu is promoting UHV internationally through his Global Energy Interconnection initiative.

貴州梵凈山正式列入世界遺產名錄

Fanjing Mountain inscribed on World Heritage list

7月2日，在巴林首都麥納麥舉行的第42屆世界遺產大會上，中國西南部貴州省的梵凈山被聯合國教科文組織列入世界遺產名錄。梵凈山成為中國的第13處世界自然遺產和第53處世界遺產。梵凈山被譽為貴州第一山，系武陵山脈的最高峰，位于貴州省銅仁市下轄的江口、印江、松桃三縣交界處。梵凈山以其壯麗的自然景觀和亞熱帶生態的珍稀動植物而聞名。梵凈山有著豐富的生物多樣性和完整性，是4394種植物和2767種動物的家園。最珍貴的野生動植物物種包括銀色金絲猴(仰鼻猿屬)和梵凈山冷杉。1986年，梵凈山被列為首批國家級自然保護區之一。

Fanjing Mountain, situated in southwest China’s Guizhou province, was inscribed on the UNESCO’s World Heritage list at the 42nd session of the World Heritage Committee in Manama, capital of Bahrain, on July 2.The mountain became China’s 13th World Natural Heritage site, bringing the total number of World Heritage sites in the country to 53.Known as the No.1 mountain in Guizhou and the highest of the Wuling Mountain Range, Fanjing Mountain lies at the intersection of the three counties of Jiangkou, Yinjiang and Songtao in Tongren city.The mountain is well-known for its magni fi cent natural landscape and subtropical ecology featuring rare plants and wildlife. The mountain, with great biological diversity and integrity, is home to 4,394 species of plants and 2,767 species of animals. The most precious wildlife and plants species include the grey snub-nosed monkey (Rhinopithecus brelichi) and the Abies fanjingshanensis.In 1986, it was listed as one of the fi rst national nature reserves in China.
