美國東部時間2017年12月31日晚，重慶旅游形象亮相在紐約時報廣場舉行的新年倒計時盛典，面向全球展示了“山水之都·美麗重慶”的獨特魅力。開幕式上，重慶市旅游發展委員會主任劉旗向世界發出這樣的旅游邀請。

重慶溫泉因量大質優、歷史悠久等特點，獲封“世界溫泉之都”。吸引了眾多國內外游客，匈牙利、日本、羅馬尼亞等國家的溫泉企業紛至沓來，在重慶合作開發溫泉健康療養項目。

有山則名，有水則靈。重慶不僅擁有江山環繞的美景，還擁有世界級的溫泉地熱資源，量大質優、歷史悠久，且類別豐富。江畔溫泉、湖景溫泉、島上溫泉、峽谷溫泉、森林溫泉、洞穴溫泉等，應有盡有，各領風騷。“五方十泉”“一圈百泉”馳名中外。

早在2006年，重慶政府就出臺了加快“五方十泉”建設、打造“溫泉之都”的意見。隨后幾年，又提出“一圈百泉”的戰略舉措，涌現出一批國內知名的溫泉品牌和溫泉企業。

2010年，重慶以豐富的地熱資源儲量和開發利用成果，榮獲國土資源部頒發的“中國溫泉之都”榮譽稱號。2011年，重慶舉辦了爭創“世界溫泉之都”系列活動之一—萬人同泡“五方十泉”，上萬名來自海內外的游客在重慶同時泡溫泉，創大世界基尼斯紀錄，“重慶·中國溫泉之都”展現出巨大魅力和強大吸引力。

世界溫泉及氣候養生聯合會第65屆年會暨國際科學大會2012年10月在重慶舉行，經來自歐洲、非洲及亞洲16個國家和地區的70多名全球頂級專家評審通過，重慶成為全球首個“世界溫泉之都”。

溫泉，是一種廣泛分布于世界各地的資源，全球約有25000個溫泉資源點。歐美溫泉水療SPA文化、日本溫泉湯治文化、中國溫泉養生文化—世界三大溫泉文化體系亮點紛呈。

中國與匈牙利溫泉產業深度合作首選重慶；全球頂尖的水檢測和認證—法國活泉簽約箱根溫泉集團；并在溫泉康養方面的率先實踐，引入日本健康開發財團開展溫泉療法合作……在溫泉產業的國際化合作方面，重慶在全國領先。

一系列國際合作的深入開展，讓世界級溫泉技術、溫泉項目相繼花落重慶，重慶溫泉聲名大噪。

如今，為做響做亮全球首個“世界溫泉之都”品牌，重慶將設立“重慶溫泉旅游日”，發起成立世界溫泉旅游聯盟國際組織，定期舉辦世界溫泉旅游發展大會。到2020年，把重慶打造成為世界著名的溫泉旅游城市。

On the evening of December 31st， 2017， EDT， the tourism image of Chongqing debuted in the New Year Countdown Ceremony held in Times Square， showing the unique charm of "Chongqing， Capital of Mountains and Rivers " to the world. At the opening ceremony， Liu Qi， director of Chongqing Tourism Commission， sent such a tourist invitation to the world.

Chongqing hot springs， due to the high quality， long history and other characteristics， won Chongqing the title of the "World Hot Springs Capital”. Besides， it attracts many domestic and foreign tourists， which serves as a new selling point for countries with their own relevant industry like Hungary， Japan， Romania. These countries choose Chongqing to develop hot springs health and convalescence projects.

A place is famous for mountains and vibrant for rivers. Chongqing does not only have beautiful scenery surrounded by mountains and rivers， but also an abundant world-class hot spring geothermal resources， high-quality， time-honored， and rich in categories. Riverside hot spring， Lake View Hot Springs， Hot Springs on the islets， Canyon Hot Springs， Forest Hot Springs， Cave Hot Springs， to cite but a few. The 65th Annual Conference and International Science Conference of International Federation of Thermalism and Climatism was held in Chongqing in October 2012. Reviewed and approved by some 70 top experts from 16 countries and regions of Europe， Africa and Asia， Chongqing became the world's first "World Hot Spring Capital".

Hot spring is a widely distributed resource and there are about 25，000 hot spring spots around the world. 北溫泉：位于北碚嘉陵江溫塘峽西岸。其前身為溫泉寺，初建于南朝劉宋景平元年（423年），重建于明宣德七年（1432年）。1927年，盧作孚于此創辦嘉陵江溫泉公園，現開發利用為重慶柏聯溫泉精品酒店。泉水含鈣量居重慶溫泉之首，并含有微量元素和氡射氣，醫療效果甚佳；水溫一般為37℃，四季浴泳皆宜。

統景溫泉：位于渝北統景鎮，有“統景溫泉甲天下”之美稱。擁有天然泉眼20余處，溫度42℃～62℃，是全國最大最集中的溫泉群。泉水富含鍶、硫酸鈣、偏硅酸等多種礦物質成份和微量元素，對美容健身、運動系統疾病、皮膚病等具有顯著療效。
