A Review and Reflection on the Research of Uranization in Ethnic Minority Areas

Astract：y selecting 14 journals from the Ethnology and Cultural Science column of the journals listed in the CSSCI （20172018）， taking “Uranization” as the key search word， and using Citespace software ， this paper reviews and reflects on the research content and results of uranization in ethnic areas from a historical perspective using a comparative methodology. The study finds that： 1）The speed with which uranization in ethnic minority areas has taken place is rapid， and the related research results are remarkale. Moreover， the pulishing time of these research results is closely linked with the announcement of national toplevel systems design documents. The Journal of Southwest Minzu University （Humanities and Social Sciences） has the largest numer of pulications， as many as 121 articles. 2）The content of the research in the past was presented as 23 clusters of knowledge， which could e summarized into eight major categories： population flow; the development process of uranization; economic construction; issues related to agriculture， rural areas and peasants; cultural inheritance and protection; domestic and foreign comparative research; and resettlement and uranization strategies in ethnic areas. 3）The rise and construction of small towns， traditional uranization and newtype uranization constitute the longitudinal perspective of uranization in ethnic areas， and national strength is its main driving force.
