China's ornamental stone resources are very rich and diverse,and the geographical features of ornamental stone play in various places are also very clear. The culture of stone appreciation has been passed down to the present,and its connotation has been concentrated in the“National Stone Retreat Day”on August 30 of recent years.

Under the impetus of the China Ornamental Stone Association and the stone industry colleagues,the stone appreciation culture continued to flourish and the stone appreciation activities became increasingly active. During the "National Stone Retreat Day" on August 30,2019,a variety of cultural and scenic cultural activities were held in various places across the country,which set off a wave of"the public appreciation of stones". More than 20 provinces,municipalities and autonomous regions in Xinjiang,Liaoning,Fujian,Sichuan,Shandong and Gansu have held activities such as ornamental stone exhibitions,ornamental stone training,stone appreciation,stone tours and so on.

The activity keeps up with the trend of the times,and uses the new media technologies such as Weibo,WeChat,and Vibrato to“permeate”the stone culture into the public life,expanding from the industry to the outside industry,causing great repercussions throughout the country,and even attracting Many foreign tourists are involved.

These richly-formed celebrations focus on the dissemination of stone appreciation culture and popularize the knowledge of stone appreciation. They have truly led the masses to love the stone,to cherish nature,to return to the heart,to advocate positive and upward values,and to return to the core connotation of stone appreciation culture.

In the "Xijing Miscellanies" written by Liu Wei in the Han Dynasty,such a story was recorded: the master of the Western Han Dynasty scholar Wulu Chongzong,called Hong Chengzi. When Hong Chengzi was young,he was given an aragonite gift from an expert.After Hong Chengzi ate the stone,he actually opened his wisdom and became a famous scholar in the Han Dynasty.
