The authors regret that in the paper of Baldovino et al. (2019), published in Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering(JRMGE),Eq.(2)must be corrected.Eq.(2)in the original paper describes a formula to calculate the unconfined compressive strength(qu).But Authors wrote it as if it were the formula for calculating the split tensile strength(qt). To amend this error, Eq. (1) and Eq. (2)are the correct expressions for quand qtmeasurements, respectively.

where PRis the rupture load at the peak of the axial stress-strain curve; and ATis the corrected transversal area of the test specimen.

where PRdis the rupture load at the peak of the diametral stress-strain curve;and D and H are the diameter and height of the test specimen,respectively.
In the original paper, Baldovino et al. (2019) used only qumeasurements for characterizing silty soil-hydrated lime compacted blends under curing time periods of 28 d,180 d and 360 d.
