一、英語中千位數以上的表示法

從數字的右端向左端數起，每三位數加一個分節號“，”。從右開始，第一個分節號前的數字后添加thousand，第二個分節號前面的數字后添加million，第三個分節號前的數字后添加billion。然后一節一節分別表示，兩個分節號之間最大的數為百位數形式。

二、形容詞和副詞的比較級的常用句型結構

1. 表示兩者之間的比較，可用以下結構：

（1）Which/Who...+比較級，A or B？

Which is bigger， the Earth or the Moon？

（2）比較級+than+...

He runs faster than she.

他比她跑得快。

（3）the+比較級+of the two

He is the taller of the two.

他是兩人中較高的那個。

注意：much， even， far， still， a little， a bit， a lot， 3 years old， 5 times （5倍） 等可以修飾比較級，表示程度。

（4）not so/as+形容詞/副詞+as

三、形容詞和副詞的最高級的常用句型結構

1.“Which/Who...+the+最高級，A，B or C？” 表示三者之間的比較。

Who is the tallest， Tom， Mike or Jack？

2. the+最高級+of/among （同類比較） /in （同范圍比較）...

Tom runs （the） fastest in our class.

注意：副詞最高級前的the可以省略。

3. 序數詞修飾最高級。

Mike is the second tallest student in our class.

4.“one of+the+形容詞最高級+名詞復數”表示“最……之一”。

Jack is one of the tallest students in our class.
