When Photos Meet Graffiti in Wuhan

Since the lockdown of Wuhan, many people have shown their concern to this city in the epidemic, including a group of artists. 27KM, a Wuhan-based collective of street artists, launched an online graffiti event called “Bridgehead Sakura Festival.” They invited 9 photographers to take pictures of the city, and collected some street scenes of Wuhan in the past. Then, they invited 15 artists from China, Korea, and Japan to recreate these photos, integrating cartoon images with sakura into them. The epidemic will be over, but the art will remind us of this special period of time and of the days we spent.

疫情之下，武漢街頭藝術(shù)組織貳拾柒公里發(fā)起“橋頭櫻花節(jié)”網(wǎng)上涂鴉活動(dòng)。他們邀請(qǐng)9 名攝影師拍下當(dāng)下的武漢，并征集其他攝影師鏡頭中武漢往日的街景照，邀請(qǐng)來(lái)自中國(guó)、韓國(guó)和日本的15 名藝術(shù)家對(duì)照片進(jìn)行二次創(chuàng)作，將一個(gè)個(gè)含櫻花元素的卡通形象融入武漢街頭。疫情終將成為過(guò)去，但藝術(shù)作品會(huì)長(zhǎng)存，提醒這一段記憶，以及這段時(shí)光的心情。

We still have plenty of time to overcome all the obstacles and face our future together.

二七長(zhǎng)江大橋Er’qi Yangtze River BridgeGraffiti 涂鴉：WHYYY [黃偉華]Photo 攝影：HYMCHU 兩點(diǎn)一線、一座橋，披星而起，戴月而歸，日常的生活與回憶在兩岸燈火里相交。The bridge connects the traffic between Hankou and Wuchang day and night. The everyday life and memories of Wuhanese intersect in the lights beaming on the banks of the river.

MEGIC 名叫盧弘圳，來(lái)自深圳。在他眼里，武漢是一個(gè)夏天超級(jí)熱、櫻花很美的城市。他最想來(lái)武漢過(guò)早，尤其愛(ài)吃炸面窩。疫情結(jié)束后，他想來(lái)武漢吃熱干面，逛逛江漢路，在街頭涂鴉。“希望在不久就能與這個(gè)美麗的城市相遇，與朋友們一起聚一起談天說(shuō)地。”盧弘圳說(shuō)。

MEGIC comes from Shenzhen. In his memory, Wuhan had the hottest summer and the most beautiful cherry blossoms. He likes the breakfast in Wuhan, especially Chinese doughnuts and hot dry noodles. He wants to hang out on Jianghan Road and do his graffiti work there. He said: “I hope I can visit my friends and this amazing city soon.”

WHYYY 名叫黃偉華，來(lái)自深圳。在他的印象中，武漢是一個(gè)冬天很冷、夏天很熱的地方。疫情結(jié)束后，他想來(lái)武漢看朋友。

WHYYY, from Shenzhen, remembers Wuhan as a city with freezing winters and scorching summers. When the outbreak is over, he wants to visit his friends in Wuhan.

琴臺(tái)音樂(lè)廳Wuhan Qintai Concert HallGraffiti 涂鴉：TIN.G [趙婷婷]Photo 攝影：SUPEREN疫情封不住月湖畔流動(dòng)的音符，封不住武漢頑強(qiáng)的生命力。The epidemic can neither stop the music floating in the air by the Yuehu Lake nor the indomitable vitality of Wuhan.

天河機(jī)場(chǎng)Wuhan Tianhe International AirportGraffiti 涂鴉：RAY [黃睿]Photo 攝影：HYMCHU天河機(jī)場(chǎng)，武漢重要的交通樞紐中心之一，至今已停航了48 天。在被暫停的城市，生活依舊在播放。Flight operations at Tianhe International Airport, one of the most important transportation hubs in Wuhan, have been suspended for 48 days. Life still goes on in the city on pause.

TIN.G 名叫趙婷婷，來(lái)自上海。在她眼里，武漢很像上海，有石庫(kù)門(mén)房子有梧桐樹(shù)，讓她覺(jué)得很親切。武漢的小吃當(dāng)中，她愛(ài)豆皮，但她更愛(ài)能在武漢吃到的孝感米酒。趙婷婷有很多朋友在武漢，疫情發(fā)生后她特別牽掛武漢的朋友，希望他們都平安。疫情結(jié)束后，她會(huì)來(lái)武漢探望她們。

TIN.G is from Shanghai. In her eyes, Wuhan and Shanghai have many things in common. Houses with stone gates and sycamore trees are very familiar to her. She loves Three Delicacies Tofu Skin and Xiaogan rice wine. She has many friends in Wuhan and has thought about them a lot when the pandemic happened. She hopes to come to Wuhan to visit her friends.

RAY 名叫黃睿，他是武漢人，此刻正在武漢。宅在家里，他格外想念紅鋼城老幺燒烤斜對(duì)面的那家鴨頭，還有李李砂鍋串串、大成路的梭邊魚(yú)、洞庭街紅火餐廳的燒蝸牛和蒜香排骨、蔡鍔路的螺神……

他對(duì)武漢說(shuō)：“不論如何，我都愛(ài)這片土地。”

RAY is Wuhanese and he is in Wuhan right now. Staying at home, he misses the attractive cuisines of the city. He said: “No matter what, I always love my hometown.”

KIDDY 名叫馬辰立，來(lái)自杭州。在他印象中，武漢人很熱情，這里的天空有一種黃黃的暖色調(diào)。他最愛(ài)武漢的“辣得跳”。疫情結(jié)束后，他想來(lái)武漢的朋友家蹭飯，因?yàn)槲錆h很多菜都有一股花椒味，特別香。他想對(duì)武漢的朋友說(shuō)：“等大家都回到真實(shí)世界了咱們?cè)僖黄鹜盔f。”

KIDDY is from Hangzhou. He recalled Wuhan as Wuhanese were always enthusiastic and the sky there had a warm yellow tint. He loves “Spicy Jump,” a local cuisine with bullfrog. He’d like to visit his friend’s places for dinner after the epidemic, longing for the smell of Sichuan peppers as they cook.

PHRON 名叫傅強(qiáng)榕，來(lái)自廣州。武漢是他在國(guó)內(nèi)最喜歡的城市之一。“因?yàn)槌鞘杏杏H和力，依江傍湖而立,是一座古老之城，歷史悠久，文化積淀深厚。”傅強(qiáng)榕喜愛(ài)武漢的豆皮、武昌魚(yú)，來(lái)武漢過(guò)早必吃熱干面。疫情結(jié)束后，他一定會(huì)再來(lái)武漢，見(jiàn)一些老友，約上一起畫(huà)畫(huà)。他最想對(duì)武漢說(shuō)：“風(fēng)雪過(guò)后，櫻花盛開(kāi)，武漢加油！”

PHRON, from Guangzhou, says Wuhan is one of his favorite cities in China. “The city has a deep affinity. It’s an ancient city with a long history and profound cultural accumulation.” PHRON loves the food in Wuhan, like doupi, Wuchang Fish and hot dry noodles. After the outbreak, he will definitely come back to Wuhan to meet some old friends and paint together.

循禮門(mén)輕軌一號(hào)線Light rail line one in XunlimenGraffiti 涂鴉：AMOSONE [亞默斯]Photo 攝影：PD2G黃浦路和宗關(guān)之間來(lái)回穿梭，輕軌通行是我們的日常，循禮門(mén)轉(zhuǎn)乘站第一次沒(méi)有擁擠的人群。Shuttling back and forth between Huangpu Road and Zongguan, the light rail traffic has been part of our daily life. For the first time, there was no crowd at the Xunlimen transfer station.

長(zhǎng)江The Yangtze RiverGraffiti 涂鴉：JAYFLOWPhoto 攝影：Wan She Tang [玩攝堂]武漢是建在江背上的城市，江水里藏著數(shù)不清的溫柔。這個(gè)冬天發(fā)生了很多事情，我們會(huì)一直記得。Wuhan is a city built by the sides of the Yangtze River and nurtured by her gentleness. A lot of things happened this winter that we will always remember.

AMOSONE（亞默斯）來(lái)自臺(tái)灣省臺(tái)中市。在他記憶中，武漢是一個(gè)由許多橋梁串接起來(lái)的城市。他格外想念武漢的早點(diǎn)。等疫情結(jié)束后，他還是想來(lái)武漢。“畢竟我的音響還在那里，當(dāng)然還想去涂鴉。”AMOSONE笑著說(shuō)。

AMOSONE is from Taiwan. He remembered Wuhan as a city connected by many bridges. He especially missed the breakfast there. After the outbreak, he wants to visit it again. “After all, my stereo is there, and of course I want to continue my graffiti,” AMOSONE laughed.

武漢云尚國(guó)際Wuhan Yunshang International CenterGraffiti 涂鴉：KOME [橫山祐一]Photo 攝影：SANTA經(jīng)歷數(shù)百年不斷洗牌的漢正街又一次涅槃，全新的服飾大樓，武漢的姑娘伢們遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)還沒(méi)有逛夠。After hundreds of years of evolution, Hanzheng Street is reborn again with brand-new shopping malls. Wuhan girls still long to go back and hang out there.

風(fēng)光村The Fengguang VillageGraffiti 涂鴉：GAN [江恒]Photo 攝影：WENIDON [溫偉棟]在櫻花樹(shù)下野餐，騎單車(chē)漫無(wú)目的于城中穿行，烈日灼灼下躍入東湖，那是我們黃金的日子。Picnicking under the sakura trees, cycling through the city, and leaping into the East Lake under the scorching sun were our golden days.

KOME 名叫橫山祐一，來(lái)自日本。在他眼里，武漢是一個(gè)可以感受到深刻歷史和不斷進(jìn)化的大都市。他最愛(ài)武漢的小龍蝦。疫情結(jié)束后，他還想來(lái)武漢畫(huà)畫(huà)，更想向日本朋友們傳達(dá)武漢的美好。“希望武漢的朋友們能夠振作起來(lái)、健健康康地度過(guò)這次疫情，我會(huì)為大家祈福。”橫山祐一說(shuō)。

KOME is from Japan. In his view, Wuhan is a metropolis with a profound history and continuous evolution. He loves the crayfish there most. After the outbreak, he wants to go there to paint and convey the beauty of Wuhan to his Japanese friends. “I hope our friends in Wuhan can cheer up and stay healthy,” said KOME. “I will pray for you.”

GAN 是此次活動(dòng)的負(fù)責(zé)人江恒，來(lái)自武漢。據(jù)他介紹，涂鴉藝術(shù)家們發(fā)揮創(chuàng)意，希望用一幅幅涂鴉作品給武漢帶來(lái)活力與生機(jī)。他們涂鴉出對(duì)武漢春天的共同期盼，呼吁大眾重新關(guān)注武漢的人文風(fēng)景。

GAN from Wuhan is the director of this event. According to him, graffiti artists are trying their best to bring vitality to Wuhan with their works. They scrawled their common wish for spring in Wuhan, calling for the public to pay attention to the city’s cultural landscape.
