1. This is my sister.

這是我的妹妹。

（1）“This is...”是我們把一個人介紹給別人時的常用句型，也可介紹物品。當被介紹人處于近距離時，單數用this is，復數用these are。如：

These are my friends.

這是我的朋友們。（指代人）

Is this a map？

這是一張地圖嗎？（指代物）

注意：

① 向別人介紹放在一起的兩樣東西時，先說this，后說that。如：

This is a pen. That is a pencil.

這是一支鋼筆，那是一支鉛筆。

② 向別人介紹某人時說“This is...”，不用“That is...”。如：

This is Tom. Tom， this is Jack.

這是湯姆。湯姆，這是杰克。

③ 在回答this或that作主語的疑問句時，要用it代替this或that。如：

—Is this a book？

這是一本書嗎？

—Yes， it is./No， it isnt.

是的，它是。/不，它不是。

④ 打電話時，介紹自己用this，詢問對方用that。如：

—Hello！ Is that Miss Green？

你好！是格林小姐嗎？

—Yes， this is Green speaking. Whos that？

是的，我是格林。你是誰？

（2）sister作名詞，意為“姐，妹”，其復數形式為sisters。如：

I have two sisters.

我有兩個姐妹。
