【詞語精講】

1. forget v. 忘記;遺忘

forget用作動詞， 其后可接名詞或代詞作賓語，也可以接動詞不定式或動名詞形式，其反義詞為remember。常見搭配：forget to do sth. 忘記要做某事（事情還沒做）;forget doing sth. 忘記做過某事（事情已經做了）。如：

Don't forget to close the door. 不要忘記關門。（門還沒關）

I forgot closing the door. 我忘記關上門了。（門已經關上了）

辨析：forget & leave

forget表示“忘記;遺忘”。 側重強調不再把某事放在心上，有忽視、忽略的含義。如：

I sometimes forget your telephone number. 我有時會忘記你的電話號碼。

Don't forget to bring your ID card tomorrow. 明天不要忘記帶身份證。

leave則表示“把某物忘在某處” ，常見結構為：“leave + sth. +地點狀語”。如：

She always leaves her watch on the desk. 她總是把手表忘在書桌上。

My sister often leaves her homework at home. 我妹妹經常把作業忘在家里。

2. over prep. 超過;多余;在……之上

over是方位介詞，指垂直的上方，與under相對。如：

There is a light over my head. 我的頭頂有盞燈。

There is a bridge over the river. 河上有座橋。

辨析：over & on

over 指“在……上方” 表示兩個物體有一定的空間，不直接接觸，但有垂直的關系。而on表示在某物體上面，并且直接接觸。如：

There is a book on the table. 桌子上有本書。

The picture is on the wall. 照片在墻上。

The lamp hung over the table. 那盞燈懸掛在桌子上方。

3. friendly adj. 友好的

friendly是由名詞friend （朋友） 加后綴? -ly變化而來。常見搭配：be friendly to sb. 意為“對某人友好”，指對別人的熱情、態度好，相當于be kind to sb.;be friendly with sb. 意為“與某人要好”。如：

My classmates are all friendly to me. 我的同學都對我很友好。

The classmates in our class are friendly with each other.我們班上的同學互相都很友愛。

【溫馨提示】 friendly雖然以-ly結尾，但它是形容詞，而不是副詞。如：lonely孤獨的;lovely可愛的。

4. kind of， a kind of

kind of 是副詞短語，意為“有點兒;稍微”。常用來修飾形容詞。

a kind of 意為“一種”，其中kind 為名詞，意為“種類;類別”。kind 還可構成短語all kinds of 意為“各種各樣的”;many kinds of 意為“許多種類的”。如：

I don't like the game， it's kind of boring. 我不喜歡這個游戲，它有點無聊。

They feel kind of tired after work. 下班后，他們感到有點累。

There are all kinds of animals in the zoo. 動物園里有各種各樣的動物。

Apples are a kind of fruit. 蘋果是一種水果。

拓展：kind還可作為形容詞，意為“友好的;和藹的”，常見的結構為be kind to = be friendly to，意為“對……友好”。
