2016年,國家啟動“十三五”重點研發計劃——先進軌道交通重點專項“磁浮交通系統關鍵技術”:具體包括時速600公里的高速磁浮項目與時速200公里的中速磁浮項目。中鐵二院是該重點專項中唯一一家同時參與承擔了中速、高速磁浮交通系統關鍵技術研究課題的工程綜合勘察設計單位。
