運用高級詞匯，提高作文得分

詞匯反映考生知識貯存量的多少，也是衡量考生英語水平的一個重要標(biāo)志。在書面表達中，只要考生使用了高級詞匯，即便是一兩個，也會令閱卷老師眼睛為之一亮，從而提高作文的得分檔次。高級詞匯并不是越難越好，越長越好，主要是指那些大部分考生都想不到，但又符合英語習(xí)慣表達的詞匯。例如：

2. At the foot of the mountain， there was a small river.

高級詞匯：hit， strike， occur to

高級表達：A good idea hit / struck / occurred to me.

7. You will find my house easily.

高級詞匯：without any difficulty， have no difficulty / trouble （in） doing something

高級表達：You will find my house without any difficulty.

You will have no difficulty / trouble in finding my house.

8. He gave up his plan because he didnt have enough money.

高級詞匯：abandon， lack of

高級表達：He abandoned his plan for lack of money.

9. He didnt come to the meeting yesterday because he was ill.

高級詞匯： account for

高級表達： His illness accounted for his absence from the meeting yesterday.

10. Ill thank you if you think about my application.

高級詞匯：appreciate， take... into consideration

高級表達：Ill appreciate it if you take my application into consideration.
