Cell Story was written by academics and experts involved in the prevention and control of Covid-19. It is aimed at young readers and adopts the form of popular science picture books. The main narrative is about how the virus attacks the human body and how the immune system fights against the attack. The detailed description of the composition of cells and the characteristics of viruses， as well as the mainline of defense of the human body and the various stages of the war between cells and virus， are presented vividly. The authors are not satisfied with just stopping at spreading knowledge about the immune system. Instead， after the end of the thrilling fight between the virus and the body's immune system， readers are led to think on a deeper level， such as the evolution of life， the relationship between viruses and humans， and the relationship between humans and nature.

Zhou Qi

Zhou Qi is a researcher and academic at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the World Academy of Sciences. Zhou serves as the Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society for Cell Biology and is a member of the Special Committee for Popularization of Science at the China Association for Science and Technology.
