Yunnan Publishing Group Helps Publishing Industry “Go Global”

At the 74th Frankfurt Book Fair held recently， The Short Trunks’ Journey， by which Yunnan Publishing Group realized copyright export， was selected as the “Reading China” program for the key book published by China at this book fair. In recent years， Yunnan Publishing Group has strengthened content construction， expanded its channel platform， promoted the construction of international communication capability， promoted foreign cultural exchanges， and told good stories about Yunnan for “China Story.”

Yunnan Publishing Group strengthened content production and innovated discourse expression in the multi-media， multi-language， and three-dimensional publishing product portfolio， including printed books， electronic audio-visual products， and online publications. A book publishing plate has been gradually formed， with the theme of “Lancang-Mekong Cooperation，” supported by Chinese cultural themes， and featured with ethnic themes. In recent years， more than 100 kinds of books for “going global” published by Yunnan Publishing Group， such as A Chinese-Burmese Dictionary and Picture Book， Lancang-Mekong Cooperation， and the copyrights of 106 kinds of books have been successfully exported to more than ten countries and regions; seven topics have been selected as the funded programs of “Classic China International Publishing Project” and the “Silk Road Scholarship Project.”

Yunnan Publishing Group promoted the construction of overseas key projects such as “China-South Asia-Southeast Asia Book Publishing （Cultural Exchange） and Translation Center.” It established 11 foreign cultural exchange platforms such as China-Myanmar Culture and Translation Center and All-China Homesickness Academy. It carried out in-depth cultural exchanges such as copyright trade， cultural exchange visits and translation， and established cooperative relations with 32 overseas publishers and 12 copyright agencies. It set up export distribution channels for publications and provided cultural products and educational services to Chinese school students in South Asian and Southeast Asian countries and regions through border trade， border export， and book donation. Thus， it has made contributions to spreading excellent Chinese traditional culture and promoting cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
