On March 23, the 2023 Italian Design Day 2023-Tappa Chongqing was successfully co-hosted by the Consulate-General of Italy in Chongqing, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce and Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. The theme of this years Italian Design Day is “The Quality that Lights up the Energy of Design for People and Environment”. The human-oriented and environment-friendly energy design shows several important concerns of Italian design, including the quality requirements throughout the production system, the necessary energy elements in the production process, the people-oriented design concept, and the organic combination of product functionality, health and environmental sustainability.
“Sustainability is also one of the key themes of Romes bid to host World Expo 2030.” The Consul-General of Italy in Chongqing, Guido Bilancini, introduced in his speech that the Italian Design Day is an initiative jointly launched by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Ministry of Culture. Committed to promoting the unique brand “Made in Italy” and aimed at strengthening the globalization of the Italian production system, Italian Design Day has been successfully held for 7 sessions, with a total of about 1150 activities and over 400 participants including designers, architects, entrepreneurs, scholars, professional journalists and so on. It facilitates the interaction of Italian innovation, industry and skills systems with creative, academic and business organizations in other countries.
During the event, Mario Cucinella, design ambassador of 2023 Italy Global Design Day in Beijing and Chongqing, and Wang Liduan, professor from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, delivered keynote speeches respectively. In the second part of the event, Luca Tarsetti, Regional Director APAC of iGuzzini, Matteo Fioravanti, Design Director of Technicon Design, Jiang Jinchen, Vice Dean of the School of Design of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, and Zhou Bo, professor from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute all participated and communicated in the discussion.
“Green design enables Chinese folk utensils such as dustpan, colander, rattan chair to keep progressing through inheritance, which stay close to peoples life, aesthetic and cultural needs in innovation.” Wang Liduan said that design is a form of culture, and cultural exchange is the best way for different regions, nations and countries to communicate and understand each other. “The concept of green design and sustainability has become a key educational option developed by many universities in China, including Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. The application of green design thinking, with the consideration of the material application, process integration, cultural aesthetics, mode innovation, market value and many other aspects, can bring new pragmatic ideas for rural revitalization.
In addition, the exhibition “Light on Made in Italy” and the exhibition of products designed by the Italian architectural lighting company iGuzzini were also held at the site, attracting a wide range of design experts, teachers and students.

3月23日,由意大利駐重慶總領事館、中國意大利商會和四川美術學院共同舉辦的2023意大利全球設計日(重慶站)活動成功舉行。本屆意大利設計日主題為“閃耀的品質,為人與環境設計”。以人為本、適宜環境的能源設計,展示了意大利設計的其中幾個重要方面,既有貫穿整個生產體系的品質要求,又有生產過程中必要的能源要素,還包括以人本需求為核心的設計理念,以及產品的功能性、健康度與環境可持續性之間有機結合。
“可持續性也是我們首都羅馬申辦2030年世博會的關鍵主題之一。”意大利駐重慶總領事畢嵐祺在致辭中介紹,意大利設計日是意大利外交與國際合作部與意大利文化部合作發起的一項倡議,致力于推廣“意大利制造”的獨特標志之一,旨在加強意大利生產體系的國際化進程。如今已成功舉辦至第七屆,共計約1150場活動,包括設計師、建筑師、企業家、學者和專業記者等領域400余人參與。促進了意大利創新、產業和技能體系與其他國家的創意、學術以及商業組織的互動。
活動期間,2023意大利全球設計日北京站和重慶站設計大使Mario Cucinella、四川美術學院教授王立端分別發表主題演講。活動第二部分,依古姿妮亞太區總監Luca Tarsetti、太可尼康汽車設計中國設計總監Matteo Fioravanti、四川美術學院設計學院副院長蔣金辰以及四川美術學院教授周波參與互動討論。
“綠色設計能使中國民間生活器物(簸箕、笊籬、藤椅等)在傳承中不斷進取,在創新中緊貼百姓的生活所需、審美所需、精神所需。”王立端表示,設計是一種文化形式,而文化交流是不同地域、不同民族以及不同國度之間相互溝通了解的最好方式。“綠色設計和可持續理念已成為包括川美在內的國內多所高校重點開發的教育選項。運用綠色設計思維,從材料應用、工藝融合、文化審美、方式創新、市場價值等諸多方面考慮,可為鄉村振興帶來務實的新思路。
此外,現場還舉辦了“意大利制造之光”展和建筑照明意大利企業iGuzzini設計的產品展,吸引設計領域的專家、教師、學生等廣泛參與。
