To celebrate the seventh anniversary of Lancang-Mekong Cooperation and promote the integration between industry and education in China and Laos, the Silk Road Project of Mayor Scholarship of Chongqing Municipal Government for Foreign Students “The China-Laos Workshop on New Generation Information Technology” was successfully held at Chongqing College of Electronic Engineering from March 27 to April 5. Twenty-one trainees in the field of information technology from the National University of Laos, ARIST, Lao Telecom, and ETL completed a 10-day field study course in Chongqing, followed by a 20-day online training program when back to Laos.
Phonpasith Phissamay, Director-General of the Applied Research Institute of Smart Technology under the Ministry of Technology and Telecommunications of Laos said at the opening ceremony that the new generation of information technology was still in its infancy in Laos. And this workshop was of great significance in helping information technology practitioners in Laos to learn and use new technologies and narrowing the technology gap.

為慶祝瀾湄合作七周年,持續推動中國與老撾兩國產教融合發展,3月27日至4月5日,重慶市人民政府外國留學生獎學金絲路項目——中老新一代信息技術研修班在重慶電子工程職業學院成功舉辦。來自老撾國立大學、老撾智能技術應用研究院、老撾電信有限公司等院校、企業的21名信息技術領域學員,在重慶完成為期10天的實地研學課程,并返回老撾國內繼續完成20天的線上培訓課程。
老撾技術通信部智能技術應用研究院院長菲薩邁在開班儀式上表示,新一代信息技術在老撾仍處于萌芽階段,此次研修班對幫助老撾信息技術從業者接觸并學會使用新技術,縮小技術差距具有重大意義。
