During the holidays, many young Chinese are eager to invite their friends to visit museum exhibitions and appreciate the charm of traditional culture.“Exhibition-watching socialization” has gradually emerged as a popular social activity for young people.Museum lover Yu Shaojing feels that museums bring history back to life.“Visiting the museums is like going deep into the world of history and the environment in which our ancestors lived,” Yu said.

Many museums across the country have also launched［發行］ cultural and creative products such as mystery boxes with an archaeology theme.Some boxes contain a soil sample with a miniature［微型的］ cultural relic inside, and collectors can dig through it with small shovels and other tools.Thanks to technological advancement, more museums have been using modern tools such as 3D projection and AR glasses, as well as attractive ways of displaying cultural relics and promoting traditional Chinese culture.

Paris has once again been named the world’s most attractive city destination［ 目 的 地］, according to an annual report by global market research company Euromonitor International.Europe reigned supreme, with seven out of the top 10 cities and 63 countries in the top 100.The only non-European cities in the top 10 were Dubai at No.2, Tokyo at No.4 and New York at No.8.Madrid came third, while Amsterdam, Berlin and Rome were at Nos.5, 6 and 7 respectively［依次為］.Barcelona and then London rounded out the top 10.Asia did well in the top 20 as Singapore (11), Seoul (14), Osaka(16) and Hong Kong (17) all made the list.

3Using plastic cutting boards can produce microplastics使用塑料砧板切菜會產生微塑料

Plastic is everywhere.From the food we eat to the air we breathe, tiny particles of plastic — also known as “microplastics” —can be found in almost anything.Not only does plastic cause real havoc［ 災 害］ on our oceans and take centuries to decay, causing even more of an environmental crisis, but experts have questioned whether consuming microplastics can negatively impact［ 影 響］health.Especially if there are pieces of plastic you’re using on a regular basis, like say your handy-dandy plastic cutting board.

With so much uncertainty around whether plastic cutting boards actually negatively affect human health, the question still stands: Should we get rid of them just in case? Dr.Lebeau says that we’re already consuming so many microplastics throughout our day (like in our food we eat from production, or even sometimes in our water even if it’s been filtered［ 過 濾］) that the microplastics from cutting boards won’t be making a huge difference.While using a wood cutting board may seem like a cleaner, safer option,these types of products are porous and may not be completely disinfected properly, increasing the risk of food-borne illness.If you would like to avoid both altogether, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) recommends replacing your plastic and wood cutting boards with ones that are made from bamboo because they are denser and are less porous than other wood cutting boards, decreasing your risk.Just be sure to clean it as thoroughly as possible!
