Little Cat’s Fishing
It was a morning in June. Mother cat got up early, she said to her children, “It is a fine day today. Get up , my children, let's go fishing. I'll teach you how to fish.”Hearing their mother's words, the little cats sang(sing—sang) and jumped. The youngest cat said,“It's so nice that we can play on the river-side.”Her sisters said, “You are wrong, we are going out to fish, not to play. Ok, you can fish yours,I'll fish mine.”
Mother cat led(lead--led, 帶領)her children to the river-side, they found(find—found)a place to sit down. Mother cat said,“Now, children ,you must keep quiet(安靜),you must watch(注視)the fishing rod(魚竿).”When fish eats the food on the rod, the rod will get a little down to the water, you may lift the fishing rod and you will find a fish on the line of the rod.“The little cats were all excited (激動),the youngest cat said, Mummy, you needn's speak so much . It is too easy to do.”

The cats sat down and began to fish. They were watching the fishing rod quietly. For some time, no fish came. The youngest cat stood up. First, she went to pick flowers, then, she sang and danced(跳舞)on the grass; she climbed up and down the tree. Mother cat came over and said,“Go back to fish, keep watching the fishing rod.”The youngest cat sat down again, she looked at the fishing rod, but no fish came. After a little while, a butterfly(蝴蝶)flew over and stopped on the rod. The cat took up the rod and pulled(拉)in the line. At this moment, the butterfly flew away, the cat put down the rod and ran after it.The butterfly stopped on a flower, the cat ran to the flower; it flew to a tree, when the cat ran to the tree and climbed up, the butterfly flew away. The butterfly played a game with the cat, the cat kept running after it all the time.
The sun set(set—set,落山),mother cat said, “Come over, my children, let's see how many fish we have caught. Let's have the fish for supper.”The young cats cheered up (歡呼), while the youngest one lowered (低下)her head, because she hadn't caught any fish.

小貓釣魚
這是6月的一個早晨。貓媽媽早早地起了床,她對她的孩子們說:“今天天氣好。起來吧,孩子們,我們釣魚去。我要教你們怎樣釣魚去?!甭犃藡寢尩脑?,小貓們唱啊,跳啊。小小貓說:“太好了,我們可以在河邊玩了?!彼慕忝脗冋f:“你錯了,我們是去釣魚的,不是去玩的?!薄昂?,好,好,你們釣你們的魚,我釣我的魚?!?/p>
貓媽媽把孩子們帶到河邊,找了一個地方坐下來。貓媽媽說:“孩子們,你們必須保持安靜,你們的眼睛必須看著釣魚竿。當魚吃魚竿上的食物的時候,魚竿會向下彎曲,你們就要抬起魚竿,魚竿的釣魚線上就會掛著一條魚?!?/p>
小貓們非常興奮,小小貓說:“媽咪,你不用說那么多,這太簡單了,我會做?!?/p>
小貓們坐在河邊開始釣魚。她們安安靜靜地看著釣魚竿,過了些時候,沒有魚來。小小貓站了起來,她先是去摘花,然后在草地上唱歌、跳舞;她一會兒爬上樹,一會兒又跳下樹。貓媽媽走過來說:“回去釣魚,眼睛看著釣魚竿?!毙⌒∝堄肿聛恚粗烎~竿,但是還不見魚來。隔了一會兒,一只蝴蝶飛過來停在魚竿上。小小貓拉起魚竿,收起線,就在這時,蝴蝶飛走了。小小貓放下魚竿,追趕蝴蝶。蝴蝶停在花上,小小貓朝著花跑去;蝴蝶飛到樹上,小小貓跑過去爬上樹,蝴蝶又飛走了。蝴蝶和貓玩游戲,小小貓一直在后面追。
太陽落山了,貓媽媽說:“過來,孩子們,讓我們看看今天釣了多少魚。晚餐我們吃魚吧。”小貓們齊聲歡呼,小小貓卻低著頭,因為她一條魚也沒釣著。
