談高考常考的ｎｏｔ…ｕｎｔｉｌ的三種句型

not…until引導(dǎo)時間狀語從句有三種句型：陳述語序、倒裝語序、強(qiáng)調(diào)語序。

一、陳述語序

在肯定句中，主句要用延續(xù)性動詞；在否定句中，until可以和非延續(xù)性動詞連用，意為“直到……才，在……之前不”。

1.My uncle____until he was forty-five.

A.married

B.didn’t marry

C.was not marrying

D.would marry

由于marry為非延續(xù)性動詞，故用否定形式，且為過去時，所以選B。

2.－_____leave at the end of this month.

－I don’t think you should do that until____an-other job.

A.I’m going to；you’d found

B.I’m going to；you’ve found

C.I’ll；you’ll find

D.I’ll；you’d find

第二空考查由no…until引導(dǎo)時間狀語從句，從句發(fā)生的動作對主句造成影響或結(jié)果，故從句用現(xiàn)在完成時，所以答案選B。

3.He____until it was dark.

A.worked

B.didn’t work

C.is working

D.was not working

此句中work為延續(xù)性動詞，所以選A。

但是，如果主句(或簡單句)的謂語是非延續(xù)性動詞的肯定式，只能用before，不能用until。例如：

Before the war broke out，many people put away in sale places possessions they couldn’ttakewiththem.

I shall finish the work before eleven o’clock.

此外，Until they had finished the work，they didn’t go home.

不可改為：Till they had finished the work，they didn’t go home.

二、倒裝語序

含有否定意義的詞或詞組居于句首時用倒裝，否則用正常語序。

1.Not until all the fish died in the river____how serious the pollution was.

A.did the villagers realize

B.the villagers realize

C.the villagers did realize

D.didn’t the villagers realize (key:A)

2.Not until eleven o’clock shall I finish the work.

三、強(qiáng)調(diào)語序

這一特殊的強(qiáng)調(diào)結(jié)構(gòu)為：It is/was not until＋時間狀語(狀語從句)＋that＋剩余部分。
