英語中的“＋－×÷”

初中英語中，我們學習了數學的加減乘除運算問題。現將有關方法小結如下:
一、對加法的提問
例如：2加5等于多少?
What is two plus five? What is two and five?
How much is two plus five? How much is two and five?
回答是It’s seven．答案是7。
或The sum（總和）is seven．和是7。
加法算式的英語讀法是：
2+5=7讀作：Two plus five is seven.或Two and five is seven.或Two and five makes seven.或Two plus five will be seven.
注：plus是表達“加”的正式用語，and 是口頭用語。
二、對減法的提問
例如：10減去7等于多少?
What is ten minus seven?
How much is ten minus seven?
How much is ten less seven?
What is seven from ten?
回答是It’s three.答案是3。或The difference is three. 差數是3。
減法算式的英語讀法是：
10-7=3讀作：Ten minus seven is three.或Seven taken from ten leaves three.或Seven from ten leaves three.
三、對乘法的提問
例如：2乘以4等于多少?
What is two multiplied by four?
What is two times four？
How much is two multiplied by four?
How much gives two times four?
回答是It’s eight.答案是8。或The result is eight.積數是8。
乘法算式的英語讀法是：
2×4=8讀作：Multiply two by four ， we get eight.或Two times four is eight. 或Two fours are eight.
1×1=1讀作：Once one is one； 2×1=2讀作：Twice oneis two .
四、對除法的提問
例如：10除以2等于多少?
What’s two into ten?
How many times does two go into ten?
回答是It’s five. 答案是5。
或The quotient is 5. 商數是5。
除法算式的英語讀法是：
10÷2=5讀作：Two into ten goes five(times).
