Since the meeting between RajivGandhi and Deng Xiaoping morethan 20 years ago， China andIndia. have been seeking to reacha wider range of cooperative relation-ship. In 2008， the trade volume reachedUS$52 billion， making China becomingIndia's largest goods trade partner， whileIndia became China's tenth largest tradingpartner. According to Chinese customsstatistics， in November 2009， Sino-Indianbilateral trade volume reached US$3.972billion， up 37.9% comparing the sameperiod of last year. This is the first positivegrowth that the trade volume has declinedcontinually since January in 2009.
