1.Zero Waste

Rubbishdisposal(處理)is one of the biggest headaches for cities.Besides therecyclable(可循環(huán)利用的)waste,everything is buried or burned,only to pollute the environment.Plastic waste remains underground for tens of years.In Beijing,people living in the Asuwei area turn their kitchen waste intoorganic fertilizers(有機肥)which are used to grow plants to make communities green.

潔凈世界

垃圾處理是許多城市的頑疾之一。除了一些可循環(huán)利用的垃圾之外，其余廢棄物都是通過填埋或燃燒的方式進行處理，這樣一來勢必會污染環(huán)境。塑料垃圾被深埋地下幾十年都無法降解。在北京阿蘇衛(wèi)地區(qū)，人們將廚房垃圾轉(zhuǎn)化成有機肥，用于小區(qū)綠化。

2.No More Transportation Problems During the Spring Festival

The Spring Festival,the most important Chinese holiday,when everyone returns home,has caused headaches for millions of Chinese.More than 2billion(十億)people travel at the same time,making getting travel tickets and the journey difficult.But in 28 years,the Spring Festival travel may not be a problem at all.China plans to have more than 120,000 kilometers of railway and a rapid transportationnetwork(網(wǎng)絡)that will serve 90%of the population by 2020.And because most of China will be cities,people will not have to go to other places to find a job,somigration(人口流動)will no longer be solarge-scale(大規(guī)模的).

春運將成為歷史

春節(jié)是中國人最重要的節(jié)日，人們紛紛返家過年，無數(shù)中國人為此頭疼不已。超過20億人次出行，造成“買票難，返鄉(xiāng)難”的局面。但28年后，春運將不再是難題。到2020年，中國鐵路營運里程將達到到12萬公里以上，形成一個覆蓋全國90%以上人口的快速客運網(wǎng)。到那時，中國大部分地區(qū)都已經(jīng)是城市，人們不必到別處就業(yè)，這樣一來就不會出現(xiàn)這樣大規(guī)模的人口流動了。

3.Newspapers to Disappear

American scholarPhilip Meyer(菲利普·邁耶)predicts that newspapers will end in 2043.Utagawa Reizou(歌川令三),former editor-in-chief(原總編)ofDaily News,believes that the newspapers will be gone in 2030.Mediatycoon(大亨)Murdoch(默多克)thinks the future of media depends oninteraction(互動)through the Internet.In the future,digital(數(shù)字的)newspapers will take place of newspapers.Readers can discuss with reporters and editors.Information will move faster.

報紙將消失

美國學者菲利普·邁耶預言，2043年將成為報紙的末日。日本《每日新聞》原總編歌川令三則確信報紙將于2030年消失。傳媒大亨默多克認為，未來媒體勢必依靠網(wǎng)絡互動。將來，電子報將替代報紙。讀者將與記者和編輯深入交流。信息傳播速度更快捷。

4.Oil to Run out

In August 2009,Fatih Birol(法蒂赫·比羅爾),chief economist of theInternational Energy Agency(國際能源署),said that oil is running out faster than expected and that the world will likely feel thetightness in supply(供應緊縮)in the next five years.Scientists have foundsubstitutes(替代物)for oil.Coal,natural gas,solar power(太陽能),nuclear power(核能)and even water can take place of oil.Flammable(可燃的)ice alone can support humans for the next 1,000 years.

石油消失

2009年8月，國際能源署首席經(jīng)濟學家法蒂赫·比羅爾表示，全球石油枯竭速度已超出預期，未來5年全球可能面臨石油供應緊縮的局面。科學家已經(jīng)找到了石油的替代品，包括煤、天然氣、太陽能、核能甚至是水。僅海底“可燃冰”就夠人類使用1000年。

5.Glasses to Disappear

Theheritability(遺傳可能性)ofshort sight(近視)is as high as 89%,that is to say,short sight is determined bygenes(基因).Scientists have found the genes for short sight and by controlling them,may be able to cure short sight.
