These factors form distinct personalities.Designer: Karin VeitIt was by accident that Karin Veit became the Chief Designer of MARCCAIN. Kavin got a gift from her father when she was 4 years old--a mini Dr. cap， which made her mad about design.Kavin began to observe what her mother was doing， and was surprised to find that she made various styles of clothing for the family. She had been weaving things until her later years. Many exquisite coats were woven by her. Under the influence of her mother， the young Kavin wove a black mini skirt for herself， the first step she took toward being a designer. Kevin is still keeping the skirt.Lady Kavin Veit has a famous saying: Even if a woman’s closet is large enough and filled with clothes of all styles， she still wants those outside the closet which don’t belong to her.Cabbeen Chic~ natural selectionThe idea of “natural selection” consists of two design concepts: “species evolution”and “transcendence of alienation”. This season of Cabbeen Chic uses completely new cutting techniques to suit the fabric and design. Four lines of “virtual ecology”clothes embody the evolution of species. Meanwhile， they tell a Metamorphosisstyle alienation fable. The concept of human nature alienation and liberation has liberated the humanity and personality of men in transcendence of post-modern alienation. It tells the story of fisherman who， walking along a river， suddenly found himself in the middle of a blooming peach tree grove. Wishing to explore this forest， he went all the way to the riverbed where he discovered a passenger towards an magical land. The inhabitants were the descendants of those who had fled the tyranny of the Qin’s emperor. In the end， the fisherman returned home and nobody ever found the path to this land again.In his new series， Yang Yongliang uses this allegory and offers a dark representation of this idyllic region. He lets undifferentiated， white-garbed characters， wander in a traditional setting of flowerless peach-tress where gigantic decaying industrial and urban elements arise.A master in the subtle combination of Shanshui art and digital techniques， Yang Yongliang presents us with a delicate and refined series， expressing in a paradoxical way the brutality of industrialization and the over-urbanization， leading to the loss ruin of man and Nature alike. Decaying urban elements punctuate these poetic landscapes， establishing in a new harmonious whole the illusion of a peaceful traditional landscape.Yang Yongliang’s probing works invite us to reflect on the irony of the destiny of these characters， condemned to live in the illusion of an ideal world. Six 7m black Chinese characters - “你準(zhǔn)備好了嗎” (literally means “Are you ready”) were put on four walls of the exhibition hall. It is aquestion from three artists as well as the dialogue with audience.After the first stage， project enters its second stage. Artists create on site in exhibition， and the creation process is open to public. Base on the huge characters， three artists return to their own creation.During the second stage， Tang Maohong’s painting works - “Thinking sadness in front of you”， Zhang Ding’s installation work - “Compartment”， and Sun Xun’s mural with sculpture and painting on paper - “March 18th Park” will be public.The three art works are independent but with internal relations.
