愛美的Jo終日為自認“問題多多”的外表而煩惱，Mark勸她要適應最真實的自己，Jo卻不以為然，決心要實現她的“天鵝夢”。

Mark： Hey Jo...Jo？...Jo…Hello？

Jo： Oh…sorry…hey， Mark.

Mark： Sorry， did I distract you from yourself？！

Jo： I was just looking at myself in the mirror.

Mark： I know！ ①You were away with the fairies.

Jo： Ha， yeah， sorry again.

Mark： Is that whats important to you？ Getting noticed for how you look？

Jo： I dont like anything about the way I look right now！

Jo： Its easy for you to say， youre not bad looking at all.

Mark： Oh， cheers.

Jo： I dont like the colour of my eyes， I have a big nose， I hate my smile…and， Im fat！

Mark： I like your nose.

Jo： Why？！

Mark： Well， its totally unique， Ive never seen one like yours before！

Jo： That doesnt sound good！

Mark： Trust me， its a 4）compliment…kind of！

Jo： Thanks.

Mark： And youre definitely not fat！

Jo： I cant fit into some jeans that I bought just six months ago！

Mark： Hmmm， youre healthy.

Jo： That is what my grandmother says when she knows I have put weight on！ ②Now I know youre telling pork pies！

Mark： You should be comfortable with the body you have.

Jo： See， thats what I mean， Im not！I want to be perfect！ I want to stop people on the street！ Life is much easier for those who are pretty.

Mark： Oh yeah？

Jo： Yeah. Thats true.

Mark： What kind of benefits are we talking about then？

Jo： They get noticed more by the boys.

Mark： Thats all you care about？！

Jo： Yeah！ That would be great！

Mark： Jo！

Jo： I have a face only a mother could love！

Mark： Youre being really 5）superficial.

Jo： Im just being realistic. Seriously though， prettier girls are more likely to get hired.

Mark： If thats true， then thats a shame.

Jo： Being pretty would totally change my life.

Mark： I think youd be surprised.

the life and soul of the party： sb. is the center or the focus during social occasions（在社交場合的焦點、活躍分子）。例如：

在上大學的時候，杰西是學校里社交活動的活躍人物，同時，她的學業也很出色。
