Children and Women Are Most Vulnerable in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

Ongoing Israel Palestine conflict has caused enormous loss to life where more than 1900 Palestinians， overwhelmingly civilians， have been killed by Israeli Defense Forces （IDF）. Latest figures show that the most helpless victims of the conflict have been children and women as civilian houses and UN refugee camps and schools have been bombed by Israel. As UN’s OCHA office reports， out of more than 1900 deaths， 414 have been young kids of less than 15 years of age. People had sought refuge in UN setup schools and shelters but Israeli forces even bombarded those schools and shelters and have killed hundreds of civilians including women， children， and elderly. International community， United Nations， and Human Rights organizations around the world have condemned these civilian killings and have also asked both sides to negotiate peace instead of war. But the sufferings of those kids are not stopping as war on Palestine is still going on. Apart from those killed during the conflict， plight of those kids disabled for life and paralyzed due to this conflict is a human crisis itself. Although world organizations and governments are pushing both sides to end the conflict， they should move beyond lip services and ensure lasting peace in the region for the sake of humanity.
