Huang An Ba in Chengkou County: alpine pasture, the preferred place to spend summer time and enjoy the cool

Huang An Ba boasts an altitude of over 2,000 meters and its forest coverage rate reaches 95%, with an average summer temperature no higher than 25 degrees centigrade.

As the country’s south mountain slope demonstration zone,Huang An Ba, 70 km away from the county, is located at the southern foot of Ta-pa Mountain and is in its National Nature Reserve. Huang An Ba pasture boasts an east-west length of over 50 km and a southnorth width of over 10 km and is located on the main peak of the Ta-pa Mountain, with a total area of 306,000 mu. Huang An Ba once ranked on the lists of “Map of Chongqing famous mountains”, “Map of Chongqing’s most beautiful scenery”, “Chongqing map of alpine meadows” and “Chongqing love map”respectively.

This place presents a pristine picture and boasts a spectacular scene with towering mountains, endless peaks and valleys. The top pf the mountain is large and wide with many pastures, rolling hills, long white clouds and horses and cattle and in it, you feel like you are in the Inner Mongolia Grassland. The pasture is surrounded by an boundless immense forest and it is known as “the pearl on the ring of Ta-pa Mountain tour route”. In addition, it is as beautiful as the “heavenly pasture, human paradise” with deep valleys and clean streams, thick woods and trim bamboos, rare birds and wonderful flowers, rare stones and wondering fishes at its mountain foot. Every June, the wild fl owers on Huang An Ba alpine pasture blossom competitively with all kinds of red, yellow, purple ones sending out a charming fragrance. The scenic area is rather cool because of the high altitude and in the evening you can even experience the temperature of the autumn in advance. When the weather is good, bring a tent to camp and see the stars in Huang An Ba is recommended and the scene shall be too wonderful to express.

Hong Chi Ba in Wu Xi County: cloud fl owers, splendid grasslands

the place boasts an altitude of 1600-2630 m, with an average annual temperature 17.1℃,the highest one and the lowest one as -25.8℃ and 29.5℃ respectively. Its negative oxygen ion content is over 2000 every cubic centimeter and it is just like a natural oxygen bar.

Hong Chi Ba, 84 km away from Wu Xi, is located at its northwest corner, with a total area of forest pasture as 253.8 sq.km. Viewing the mountain fl ower in spring while preventing sunstroke in summer and appreciating the colorful woods in autumn while playing with snow in winter here will be a great joy. Hong Chi Ba boasts exceptionally advantageous ecological resources and human landscapes and it is the birthplace of China’s ancient“Wu”and“salt”cultures. It is the place where Chun Shen was born, who is known as one of the four gentlemen in the Warring States Period and the main minister of Chu Kindom. It is also the place where Liuxiu, who fi ghts with Wangmang for the world in the late West Han Dynasty and finally wins to establish the Eastern Han Dynasty and it owns the world's largest cloud flowers, the southwest's largest alpine pastures and the south's largest snowviewing resort.

Every year, from April to October, Hong Chi Ba is always a sea of fl owers with over a hundred high-mountain ones competitively blossom, making brilliant purples and reds, which brings visitors a magnificent feast. As the southwest's largest alpine pasture with luxuriant fragrant grass, endless territory and countless forests, Hong Chi Ba also owns the laudatory title “China's New Zealand”. Hong Chi Ba has three miracles: one is the marvelous hole, namely the Summer Ice Hole, which coagulates in summer while melts in winter and it is a really a world wonder; a second is the marvelous water, namely the West Flow Stream, which flows from the west unremittingly like a jade belt surrounding the mountains, showing a feminine beauty fully and like a mundane spirit who is spotlessly clean; a third is the marvelous cloud, namely the “Skirt and Belt Cloud”, which surrounds the sky and makes one daydream.
