別樣英倫 “第八屆威爾士周”啟動

3月3日，由英國威爾士政府駐重慶辦公室和重慶市人民政府外事僑務辦公室聯合舉辦的“第八屆威爾士周”在重慶圖書館啟動。為期一個月的“別樣英倫—威爾士的具象之美”大型圖片展將同步在重慶圖書館揭幕，免費向公眾開放。近90幅精美圖片向重慶市民介紹作為重慶友好地區的英國威爾士那令人震撼的自然美景和悠久的傳統文化，市民還可以從展覽中進一步了解威爾士的教育資源以及游學機會，領略別樣英倫風情。

本屆威爾士周系列活動還包括威爾士綠色建筑企業代表團訪渝、威爾士文化沙龍、中英幼教創新與發展論壇、“威爾士杯”英語征文大賽和走進威爾士課堂等精彩內容。這將是重慶和威爾士在商務、文化、教育、藝術等領域深化交流，并探索進一步合作機會的盛宴。

重慶和威爾士的地方友好交流由來已久。自2008年兩地政府簽署友好合作協議以來，雙方在經貿、文化、科技等領域進行了廣泛深入的合作交流，推動和增進了兩地人民之間的了解與友誼，取得了良好的社會和經濟效益。

"The 8thWales Week " Started

"The 8thWales Week " jointly organized by United Kingdom Wales Office in Chongqing and Chongqing Municipal Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office lanched at Chongqing library on March the 3rd. A month-long "Special Charms of England – the Beauty of Wales" photo exhibition was synchronized unveiled at the city's library, free and open to the public.Nearly 90 beautiful pictures of Wales are shown to the public as a friendly region of Chongqing--stunning natural beauty and a long history of traditional culture, people can also learn more about Welsh education resources from the exhibition as well as travel opportunities, discover the different England style.

This weekly activiity includes Welsh green building enterprises visiting Chongqing, Welsh culture salon, Sino-British Forum on innovation and development in early childhood education, "Welsh Cup" English essay contest and entering the Welsh classroom highlights.This is an event to deepen exchanges and explore opportunities for further cooperation between Chongqing and Wales in business, culture, education, the arts and other f elds.

There is friendship history long between Chongqing and Wales,ever since the two governments signed a friendship and cooperation agreement in 2008,the two sides have have conducted extensive and in-depth cooperation exchanges in the fields of economy and trade, culture, science and technology, promoted the understanding and friendship between the two places and achieved good social and economic benef ts.
