Hebei Research Institute of Investigation and Design of Water Conservancy and Hydropower （Hebei Institute for short） was founded in 1956.The institute locates its head office in Tianjin，a beautiful coastal city，and possesses 5 branches and offices in Shijiazhuang，the capital of Hebei Province.

Hebei institute has 1118 employees，including more than 500 professorial and senior engineers.The institute has over 800 national registered qualification certificates in different subjects，such as architect，structure，civil，surveyor，tenderer，supervision，consultation，cost，etc.，and equipped with advanced technical equipments used for reconnaissance，surveying and mapping，design and test.We are a professional technical team with excellent work style，complete specialties and advanced technology.

Through 60 years of development and expansion，we equipped with 17 National Grade A qualification certificates，i.e.engineering reconnaissance certificates，surveying and mapping certificates，monitoring certificates，design certificates，consultation certificates，supervision certificates，geologic hazard treatment certificates，engineering bidding agency certificates and water conservancy project quality inspector（geotechnical engineering and measurement），as well as has qualification certificates in seven fields，i.e.construction enterprise qualification，municipal public works （ water supply and discharge），highway，soil and water conservation monitoring，accrediting agency of standardization of water conservancy safety production and urban and rural ecological restoration.Hebei institute is a high-tech enterprise，with the honorary titles as“National Engineering Investigation and Geotechnical Unit integrity”， “Top Hundred Investigation and Design Enterprises in China by Comprehensive Strength”，“National Excellent Enterprise in Engineering Investigation and Design of China”，keep awarded“National water conservancy and hydropower survey and design industry credit rating AAA”.

The institute have successfully completed river basin planning of Haihe River and Luanhe River since the beginning of China water conservancy.Now our business scope contains the improvement of large and main rivers regulation，construction and reinforcement of large and medium size reservoir，small and medium sized hydraulic and hydropower projects，the planning，investigation，design and supervision of architecture projects，public works and transportation project，etc..

In recent period，the institute have successfully completed the survey and design of Main Channel in the Middle Route of South-North Water Transfer （Beijing to Shijiazhuang Section and Xintai to Shijiazhuang Section） and the supporting project，the survey and design of Shuangfengsi Reservoir，Wula-hada Reservoir，Dabagomen Reservoir，and the river water environment comprehensive improvement project of Shijiazhuang，Tangshan，Chengde，Qinhuangdao，Hengshui.Particularly in the fields like the dam construction of reservoir，diking for flood control，urban water supply，the security of rural drinking water，rivers regulation，ecological environment，hydraulic landscape design，3G technique application and 3D collaborative design，we are at the forefront of provincial-level research institute on a national scale.

We successfully undertook the investigation and design of Medjerdah-Cap-Bon Canal，the construction supervision of Lebua Reservoir，the investigation and design work of Sfisifa Reservoir，Sudan agriculture pumping station，Banaong irrigation project in Philippines and Uzbekistan pumping station，etc.and have been widely praised by international friends.

Currently undertake the design of four reservoirs’s construction:Xiandonggou Reservoir in Shanxi Province，Mile dam in Yunnan Province etc.， and complete the design of river channel regulation projects in Chaoyang District of Beijing and Tianjin Jinnan.Especially，we take up the survey and design of Baiyangdian ecological environmental regulation work in the planning of Xiongan New Area，a new economic zone about 100 kilometers southwest of Beijing.The new area spans the counties of Xiongxian，Rongcheng and Anxin in Hebei，as part of measures to advance the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei（BTH）region.

We are “ First-grade State” science and technology archives management unit；Since 1999，the institute has acquired and maintained quality management system certificate of ISO9001 and GB／T 19001 consecutively;we have acquired certificate of Quality/Environment/Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certification in 2013，and strictly follows up the three-standard integrated management system，follows the management policy of“Standard Management,Quality Priority，Environment Conservation，Focus on Health and Safety，Customer Satisfaction，Excellent Development”.

The institute has made great achievements in the field of technological advancement.Water Sciences and Engineering Technology is initiatively set out by the institute and the Hebei Society for Water Conservancy and implemented by Water Resources Department of Hebei Province in1977.The journal is a high quality scientific journal in the conservancy system and included in Wanfang database，CQVIP database，Chinese Journal Fulltext Database （CJFD），Chinese academic journal comprehensive evaluation database （CAJCED）.The institute has 330 Survey design results that awarded the provincial and ministerial-level and national prize，hundred scientific research projects reached the international and domestic leading or advanced level.A stations for post-doctoral research is set up in 2010.
