Insight into the future to seek for new development path

From March 14th to 16th， an exhibition titled “TAICHISTONE · Textile Future Exhibition 2018”stroke a pose on the stages of China International Clothing & Accessories Fair （CHIC） and China International Trade fair for Apparel Fabrics and Accessories （INTERTEXTILE）. Hosted by Productivity Promotion Department of China National Textile and Apparel Council （CNTAC） and China Textile Information Center （CTIC）， supported by China National Garment Association （CNGA） and Sunhills Co.， Ltd. and specially supported by TAICHISTONE Co.， Ltd.， Shanghai SAITE Silk Co.， Ltd.， SDL Atlas （Shenzhen） Co.， Ltd.， ISPO， WGSN， COLORO， HUNTSMAN， Fabrics China Hangtag Demonstration Unit， China Fabric Sample Warehouse and CNTAC Testing Center， its theme “insight into the future” has given rise to discussion and reflection within the industry besides its exhibits， technologies and guest speeches which have drawn much attention.

The exhibition gives insights into the future and breaks through industrial bottleneck

Reports of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that， “Chinas economy has transited into high-quality development stage. Efforts should be put into accelerating construction of industrial system with coordinated development of real economy and scientific & technological innovation and continuously reinforcing economic innovation strength and competitiveness of China”.

Textile industry is a pillar industry of economic development. China has established the most perfect modern manufacturing system over the world with manufacturing capacities and levels in various links on the industrial chain averagely topping the list in the world. The present industrial demands present transition feature from weight satisfaction into pursuit of quality improvement， but innovative application is not sufficient enough， which is a technical bottleneck within the industry； insufficient environmental construction is ecological bottleneck within the industry. Real possibility for high-quality development in textile industry can be realized only when these bottlenecks are broken through.

Science and technology is an important footstone for the industry to become large and strong. Textile industry needs to focus on scientific and technological innovation and race to control a commanding point for development. Scientific and technological innovation within the industry should persist in self-independent innovation path with Chinese characteristics， reinforce and encourage relevant fundamental studies facing world leading edge of science and technology and give great impetus to boost R&D; and industrial application of high-performance materials with biological functions as well as green low-carbon manufacturing technology and intelligent textile equipment.

Ecological environmental protection is a crucial task for socio-economic development in China and an important origin of force for transformation and upgrading of textile industry. Environmentally friendly factor price starts being incorporated into production system. Responsibility capitalization enters a fast lane， which requires that the industry should transit original development pattern， break through a batch of key generic technologies and develop ecological dyeing process technologies with low energy consumption， low water consumption and low pollutant emission.

When talking about the original intention of the exhibition， Qiao Yanjin， Director of Productivity Promotion Department of CNTAC and Director of CTIC， definitely expressed that the exhibition will give insight into the industrial future. “We hope this activity will guide the industry to find innovative products and enterprises to find more development paths so as to essentially improve innovation capacity of the whole industry， elevate industrial premium level， strengthen competitive advantages of industry value chain， reinforce enterprises brand competitiveness， improve enterprises abilities in governing environmental issues， increase added value of products and improve overall competitiveness of Chinas textile and apparel.”

High-threshold access to guide new future trend of textile industry

Nowadays “technology， fashion and green” have gradually become new labels of Chinas textile industry while “innovation-driven scientific and technological industry， responsibility-oriented green industry and culture-guided fashion industry” have become the new orientation for future development of the industry.
