The Merchant Adventurer's Hall,an original medieval town hall,built in about 1360,is surrounded by unusual shops.In nearby Jorvik(the Viking name for“York”)there is a restored Viking settlement with state-of-the-art exhibits on all Viking things.The Shambles,a set of medieval streets,gives you an up-close look at what neighborhoods were like in the Middle Ages.And no visitor to York should neglect to check out the darkness of the York Dungeons!

Everyone has heard of London,and everyone needs to see London.Here's a place full of elegance and grime and splendor and frenzy—one of the most interesting places in the world to visit.

What can't be missed are Big Ben,the parliament buildings,Buckingham Palace,Westminster Abbey (a truly glorious cathedral),Piccadilly Circus,Soho,Covent Garden,and the British Airways London Eye,the biggest Ferris wheel in the world,formerly known as the Millennium Wheel.

Culture vultures have scores of museums and galleries at their disposal.And,of course,you can't go to London without spending an evening at an authentic London pub.

倫 敦

人人都知道倫敦,人人都想看倫敦。這里既有高雅的店堂,又有污穢的街市；既有壯麗的景觀,又有瘋狂的人群。它是世界上最有趣的旅游勝地之一。
