Tell Chinese Stories in English

With the gradual popularization and flourish of China globally，the topic of telling Chinese stories in English has aroused public attention recently.There is no doubt that the fundamental issue for contemporary China is to well depict and display our national image on the international stage.It is universally acknowledged that the country's image，in a sense，will determine the future and fate of China's reform and development.Consequently，telling our Chinese stories in English is of great significance for every Chinese citizen.

Firstly，it is generally accepted that nothing can play a more pivotal role than telling a good Chinese story，which is giving response to the international community's query，which distrusts China's friendly role in the changeably contemporary international pattern.In addition to this，it goes without saying that the past few years have witnessed a burgeoning economy in China.Whereas we have faced more difficulties that hinder us from eliminating misunderstandings among other countries，not to mention telling Chinese stories well in the course of multilateral cooperation.

Secondly，it is to tell Chinese stories well that increases the importance of Chinese cultural consciousness.Simultaneously，telling Chinese stories is a process that enables us to be more familiar with both national and world conditions.As we can see，they are provided with more and more opportunities to contact the real world，which helps them to know the world better.

From what have been demonstrated above，it is time to take measures to tell Chinese stories in English.First and foremost，we may as well tell Chinese stories in acceptable ways and in the international language.As an English major college student，what we should do is to give priority to learn English well and tell our stories to global citizens well，which contributes to moving hearts of foreign audiences and make them feel dependable.What's more，we need to make joint efforts to tell stories about China's development，explain China's path，theory and contribution，and have a voice in global affairs and international issues.Or rather，we should strengthen Internet thinking and build a modern communication system in order to enhance the influence of Chinese media in the world.Last but not least，Chinese stories should be localized when told on foreign land.Adapting to local conditions makes Chinese stories readily comprehensible to local people.Language，a carrier of culture，can throw up barriers through improper wording or faulty approach.Effectively disseminating Chinese culture will include wording Chinese stories to be internationally understandable.

To sum up，it pays to tell our Chinese stories in English.Accordingly，to tell Chinese stories well in English，some measures should be taken.For one thing，we should go all out to tell Chinese story in acceptable ways.Not only English but also multilingualism is supposed to be applied，on no account can we ignore the cultural diversity and linguistic differences among nations.For another，we should tell Chinese stories in English through a more influential Chinese medium，and that is the reason why Chinese stories can be positively various，which includes Chinese development stories，Chinese contribution to the world prosperity and Chinese friendly and peace-keeping role in the world stage and so on.Above all，tell Chinese story to every global citizen，together we build a community of prosperity，peace，and a shared future.

用英語講好中國故事

中國在世界事務中扮演著越來越重要的角色，用英語講述“中國故事”最近引起了公眾的廣泛關注。毫無疑問，當代中國的基本問題是在國際舞臺上展現我們的國家形象。從某種意義上說，國家形象將決定中國改革發展的未來和命運。因此，用英語講好中國故事對于每個中國公民來說都意義重大。

在當前形勢下，沒有什么比講好中國故事更重要。說好中國故事一方面是對國際社會的質疑作出回應，即外國人不相信中國在多變的當代國際格局中發揮著積極作用。過去幾十年中國經濟發展迅速，但我們面臨的困難卻更多，阻礙了我們同世界各國間的合作往來，更不用說在多邊合作中講好中國故事。

其次，講好中國故事增強了中國文化意識的重要性。與此同時，講述中國故事是一個讓我們更熟悉國家和世界狀況的過程。正如我們所看到的，有越來越多接觸現實世界的機會，這也有助于我們更好地了解這個世界。

從以上論證來看，是時候采取措施用英語來講好中國故事了。首先，我們不妨用可接受的方式，用國際化的語言講述中國故事。作為一名英語專業的大學生，我們應該做的是把學好英語放在第一位，把我們的故事講給全世界的人聽，這樣才能打動外國觀眾的心，讓他們覺得我們是值得信賴的。更重要的是，我們需要共同努力，講述有關中國發展的故事，解釋中國的路線、理論和貢獻，在全球事務和國際問題中表達我們自己的聲音。加強互聯網思維，構建現代傳播體系，增強中國媒體在世界上的影響力。最后，講好中國故事應該注意語言表達本土化問題。即適應當地的情況，使當地人很容易理解中國故事。語言是文化的載體，不恰當的措辭或錯誤的方式將設下文化交流的障礙。有效地傳播中國文化其實也就是讓外國人可以更好地理解中國故事。

總之，用英語講好中國故事是一件我們每個中國公民值得去踐行的事情。而要用英語講好中國故事，必須采取一些措施。首先，我們應該全力以赴，用外國人可以接受的方式講述中國故事。不僅要運用英語，而且要運用多種語，決不能忽視民族之間的文化差異和語言差異。另一方面，用英語講中國故事應該通過更有影響力的中國媒體的助力。向全球每一個公民講中國故事，我們將共同建設一個繁榮、和平、共同的未來社區。
