高職基礎英語與專業英語的相互滲透和融合

摘要：隨著全球經濟一體化的發展，社會對人才的要求越來越高，尤其是對既精通業務又有較強英語能力的復合型人才有著急迫的需求。如何在高職英語教學中培養學生的職業崗位英語能力，為學生未來就業打好基礎，成為廣大教師積極思考的一個重要課題。本文從高職基礎英語與專業英語的特點出發，結合當前高職英語教學中存在的一些現實問題，對高職基礎英語教學與專業英語教學的相互滲透和融合展開探討，希望能夠提高英語教學質量，為社會培養更多的復合型人才。

高等職業教育是我國高等教育的重要組成部分，“高職高專教育培養的是技術、生產、管理、服務等領域的高等應用型專門人才”。高職院校的學生除了具備相應的職業技能，還必須具備一定的專業英語能力。高職生在學習、工作中最為常見的英語需求就是看得懂、說得出、寫得了有關涉外業務資料，特別是能結合專業和崗位得體地進行日常會話和專業交流，如企業工作人員能夠閱讀英文產品說明書，外貿工作人員能用英語參與對外貿易活動。因此，高職院校英語課程的設置體現了高職教育的特色，順應了社會發展的必然趨勢。

一、高職專業英語教學中存在的問題

目前，幾乎所有高職院校都開設了基礎英語和專業英語課程，可見專業英語的重要性已經得到重視，但高職專業英語教學現狀并不盡如人意，仍然存在很多問題。

一方面，表現為將該課程設定為選修課，課時有限，大多數院校只安排一個學期30多個課時，因其專業性較強，專業術語對學生來說難度大，所以學生普遍缺乏興趣，教學效果不理想。

另一方面，專業英語授課需要專業知識的積累和很強的英語運用能力的支撐。目前，普遍存在的問題是，兩種素質同時具備的教師十分缺乏，在高職院校中，擔任專業英語課程教學任務的教師由于欠缺專業知識，往往力不從心，缺乏上好這門課程的信心，教學有效性不能保證，課程目標無法實現。

二、高職基礎英語與專業英語相互滲透和融合的必要性

基礎英語是以講授基本英語知識為內容的英語課程，內容較為淺顯，更加貼近生活，容易理解與接受，趣味性更強。通過基礎英語的學習，學生能夠掌握基本的英語詞匯、語法，可以進行基本的英文閱讀和簡單的英語交流活動。

專業英語是根據學習者的特定需求，以未來所從事職業為目的而開設的英語課程，其教學目的主要是傳授與特定專業或學科相關的英語知識和交際技能，使學生熟悉并掌握所學專業的相關術語，能夠進行專業資料的閱讀、翻譯和專業交流。

專業英語和基礎英語在詞匯、語法、修辭等方面有一些不同，所用資料、公式注重事實和邏輯，其詞匯專業、準確，句子結構嚴密緊湊，文體清晰、客觀。如果學生沒有掌握好基礎的英語知識，那么在接觸專業英語時就會感到內容枯燥、乏味，積極性、主動性更無從談起。因此，能否做好基礎英語和專業英語的相互滲透和融合，會直接影響學生的學習興趣與學習效果。

三、高職基礎英語與專業英語相互滲透和融合的思路

“基礎英語”和“專業英語”是目前高職院校英語教學的兩大組成部分。要使高職基礎英語與專業英語相互滲透，可以在公共英語課程中有意識地加入專業知識，構建富有專業特色的公共英語教學模式，將基礎知識專業化、專業知識實用化。

科技論文主要著重講述客觀現象和科學真理，與日常英語和文學作品相比，被動句的使用相當廣泛。根據這些特點，在基礎英語教學語法項目中，可多用專業英語的例句讓學生學習表達，提高閱讀和翻譯科技資料的能力，并能以英語為工具獲取本專業實際工作中所需的信息。以鐵路信號專業英語為例加以說明。

例1：Taking the starting signal turning green as the proof of the occupation of the interval，the station attendant can only open the starting signal after handling the block procedure. When the train starts off the station，the circuit is occupied，the signal will be shut down automatically，so as to realize the block.

例2：Checking equipment for supervision train occupancy is installed based on the interval between semi-automatic block stations，and the block procedure is automatically completed when the departure route is set. After the train starts off as the signal shows，the starting signal is automatically shut down to realize the block，and no manual operation is required to handle the block.

例3：ZD6 Series Electric Switch Motor is the most widely used electric switch motor in our country. It is mainly used in the lateral line of non-speed-raising switch and speed-increasing section. It is driven by DC motor，mechanically driven，with internal lock structure，and realized the function of squeezing by cutting pin and shifting contactor.

專業英語的教學如果只注重專業詞匯和專業知識的傳授，忽視基本英語語言能力的訓練，使基礎英語與專業英語的教學之間存在斷層，沒有滲透融合，容易導致學生雖然掌握了一些專業詞匯和專業知識，但由于缺乏對基本英語語言能力訓練的延續，畢業時仍然不能熟練地使用英語，無法滿足崗位需求，學生在未來的就業過程中必然會失去競爭優勢，無法獲得更高、更遠的發展。在專業英語教學初期，采用逐漸過渡的方式，在學生適應了專業英語教學之后，就可以進入利用英語掌握專業知識和進行技能操練的階段。例如，讓學生用英文回答或解釋相關的專業概念和原理，增加他們的參與度，培養其興趣，提高教學效果。以鐵路信號專業英語為例加以說明。

例4：Question：What's the function of a switch motor？

Answers：It can reliably change the position of the switches and change the opening direction of the switches. The switch turns to the necessary position and the points are rigidly connected to the stock rail，achieving locking function so that the switches can be locked to prevent external force to convert.

四、結語

基礎英語與專業英語的相互滲透和融合，與《高職高專教育英語課程教學基本要求》相一致，秉承了“以實用為主、應用為目的”的教學目標。專業英語所承擔的重要任務就是，要使學生完成從“學”到“用”的轉變，把學生將要從事的專業知識與英語語言相結合。因此，專業英語教學不僅僅是基礎英語教學的延續和擴展，更是使學生畢業后在自己的專業領域內能較好地利用英語工作的一座橋梁，為學生的多元化發展提供幫助。

Abstract：With the development of global economic integration，the demand for talents is getting higher and higher，especially for those complex talents who are proficient in business and have strong English ability. How to cultivate students' professional post English ability in higher vocational English teaching and how to lay a good foundation for their future employment have become an important topic for teachers to think positively. Based on the characteristics of the basic English and professional English in higher vocational colleges，this paper explores the mutual penetration and integration of basic English teaching and professional English teaching in the light of some practical problems existing in the current higher vocational English teaching，hoping to improve the quality of English teaching and cultivate more high qualified personnel for the society.
