塞拉利昂大學孔院的“中國之聲”

西非塞拉利昂，一個美麗的國家，沙灘、森林、河流、山脈甚至氣候都展現著其特有的魅力。然而，這里卻是四類艱苦地區。在弗里敦最高點的奧里奧山上，坐落著擁有191年建校史和“西非雅典”美譽、同時也是塞拉利昂大學主要組成部分的弗拉灣學院。塞拉利昂大學孔子學院于2012年9月在弗拉灣學院正式揭牌運行，塞大孔院也由此開始了艱辛“創業路”。

辦學需要場地，弗拉灣學院從非常緊張的校舍資源中專門撥出三間教室和兩間辦公室劃歸孔院使用。經過翻修，逐步改造出多媒體教室一間、綜合教室一間、圖書室一間以及辦公室兩間，這些硬件設施在整個弗拉灣學院也是最“現代化”的。

塞大孔院始終堅持以漢語教學為中心。自2012年揭牌以來，漢語學員數量迅速增長，使得現有的教室空間捉襟見肘，經常出現學生因座位不足站著上課的情況。在弗拉灣學院目前無法提供更多教室的情況下，如何解決這一供需矛盾，成為塞大孔院上下需要考慮的現實問題。一方面，塞大孔院積極尋求支持，希望早日建成孔子學院大樓;另一方面，既然受限于“線下”空間，能否利用“線上”空間，形成“線下線上”相結合的漢語和中國文化推廣新模式呢？

根據當地民眾主要依賴于無線廣播獲取資訊的特點，依托弗拉灣學院原有的奧里奧電臺，于2016年2月正式推出了一檔漢語廣播節目

“中國之聲”（Chinese Radio Show），嘗試用無線電波這一“線上”手段傳播中國的聲音，也為中塞兩國民心相通構建一個新的平臺。為了辦好該節目，塞大孔院與弗拉灣學院相關部門負責人保持積極有效的溝通，就工作人員安排、電力供應及應急處理等方面達成共識。

節目以“服務漢語教學、傳播中國文化”為基本宗旨，通過“講好中國故事”讓更多的塞拉利昂人了解中國，讓語言和文化成為促進中塞兩國民心相通的橋梁。

節目質量是漢語電臺賴以生存和發展的首要條件，塞大孔院為此做了大量細致的安排。首先，塞大孔院指定專門人員負責節目的指導工作，竭力保證節目制作的基本方向和質量;其次，組織了以本土教師為主要負責人，以赴華留學歸國人員、漢語學會優秀成員和奧里奧電臺記者為骨干力量的節目制作團隊;最后，塞大孔院會同節目組定期通過問卷和采訪等方式收集聽眾對節目的反饋意見和建議，以此用于評估節目效果和改進節目制作。

節目歷經多次改版，現主要包括如下幾個版塊： （1）漢語學習（ChineseLearning）：以漢語教材為主，如《漢語會話301句》;（2）中國文化（ChineseCultures）：包括中華美德、中華成語故事、中國節日、中國民族、中國飲食、中國地理等各個方面;（3）新聞（News）：用中英雙語播報有關塞大孔院、中國國內、中塞關系、中非關系等方面的新聞;（4）中國故事（Chinese Stories）：孔子學院講好中國故事，在傳播中國優秀傳統文化的同時，介紹當今中國在各領域的發展，例如“馬云和阿里巴巴”“馬化騰和騰訊”“北京歡迎您”“華為的故事”“深圳的變化”等（5）每周一歌（WeeklyChinese Music）：每星期播放一首中文經典歌曲，使聽眾在領略中國音樂魅力的同時，也能夠學習更多的漢語。在塞大孔院己舉辦的兩屆漢語歌唱比賽中，選手們所選唱的歌曲絕大部分都來自于電臺播放過的中文歌曲;（6）采訪（ Interviews）：每期的采訪主題由節目組確定，采訪對象包括中塞兩國相關人員，由電臺記者現場采訪或邀請嘉賓到電臺接受采訪;（7）我和中國（China and Me）：邀請赴華留學歸國人員講述他們與中國、與漢語學習的故事，讓聽眾了解身邊漢語學習的真實故事，增強漢語學習動力;（8）孔院通知（Notice）：內容包括孔子學院獎學金項目介紹、新學期報名注冊通知、文化活動通知、孔院比賽通知、俱樂部活動通知等。

節目每周一期，時長為一個小時，分首播和重播。截至2018年3月，己累計播出近100期，加上重播累計播出近200次，收聽超過200萬人次。節目也得到了聽眾的肯定，在節目服務短信平臺上，一名學員留言說：“我非常喜歡你們的節目，不僅讓我學到了實用的漢語，也讓我對去中國留學有了更大的期待，我會為此而努力。”弗拉灣學院國際交流合作處處長伯納德蒂·科爾（ BernadetteCole）說： “孔子學院推出的這個漢語廣播節目豐富了奧里奧廣播電臺的節目內容，不僅滿足了包括弗拉灣學院學生在內的當地民眾學習漢語的需求，也讓更多人有機會了解中國文化。弗拉灣學院將繼續支持該節目，希望漢語節目不斷創新，越辦越好，為中塞文化交流、民心相通做出更大貢獻。”

Sierra Leone， located in the Western Africa， is a beautiful country withunique charm on its beaches， forests， rivers， mountains and even theclimate. Howeve r， it is a typic al developed area with hardship. Pe rched onMount Aureol， the highest point of Freetown， is the Fourah Bay College， amajor part of the University of Sierra Leone， with a long history of 191 yearsand known as the \"Athens of Africa\". In September 2012， the ConfuciusInstitute at the University of Sierra Leone officially opened， and from then onthe Institute embarked on a hard journey.

Though school buildings are in strain， the Fourah Bay College allocatesthree classrooms and two offices to the Institute. They are gradually renovatedinto a multimedia classroom， an integrated classroom， a library and twooffices. These hardware facilities in the Institute are also the most modernizedones in Fourah Bay College.

The Confucius Institute at the University of Sierra Leone always persistsin taking Chinese teaching as the center. Since the Institute held unveilingceremony in 2012， the number of Chinese learners has grown rapidly，bringing a shortage of classrooms. Some students often stand in class forlack of seats. Thus at p resent， how to tackle the contradiction betweensupply and demand of classrooms has become a real problem that FourahB ay College needs to consider since it is unable to provide more classrooms.The Confucius Institute at the University of Sierra Leone has actively soughtsupport， hoping to put up the Confucius Institute building as soon as possible.Since the \"offline\" space is limited， whether is it possible that the Institutetakes advantage of the \"online\" space and forms a new model combining\"offline\" and \"online\" space for promoting Chinese and Chinese culture？

Considering the fact that local people mainly rely on listening to theradio to obtain information， in February 2016， a Chinese broadcast program，\"Chinese Radio Show\" was officially launched based on the original MountAureol Radio at Fourah Bay College， trying to use an \"online\" approach-radio waves to spread China's voice， and create a new platform for mutualcommunication between people in both China and Sierra Leone. In orderto run the program well， the Institute maintains active and effectivecommunication with the heads of relevant departments of the college，reaching agreement on personnel arrangement， p ower supply and emergencyresponse， etc.

Basically aiming at \"serving for Chinese-teaching and spreading Chineseculture\"， the radio program makes more and more Sierra Leoneans knowChina by telling the Chinese story， taking language and culture as the bridgefor promoting the mutual communication between the two countries.

The quality of programs is of prime importance to the survival anddevelopment of the Chinese radio， for which a largenumber of arrangements have been made by theConfucius Institute at the University of Sierra Leone.First of all， the Institute has some designated staffresponsible for the program instruction to ensurethe basic direction and quality of the programproduction; secondly， the institute organizes aprogram production team with local teachers asthe main principals， returned students who studiedin China， outstanding members of the Society ofChinese Language and Aurelio Radio reporters asthe backbone; lastly， the Institute regularly collectsfeedback and suggestions from the audiencethrough questionnaires and interviews， which canbe used to evaluate and improve program.

After several revisions and adjustments， theradio program now mainly includes the followingsections： （1） Chinese Learning： a program mainlybased on the Chinese textbook， such as 301Sentences for Chinese Conversation; （2） ChineseCultures： it includes Chinese virtues， Chinese idiomstories， China's festivals， Chinese nation， Chinesediet， and Chinese geography; （3） News： news relatedto the Confucius Institute at the University of SierraLeone， China， China-Sierra Leone relations， China-Africa relations， etc. are broadcast in both Chineseand English. （4） Chinese Stories： the ConfuciusInstitute not only spreads the excellent Chinesetraditional culture， but also introduces China'sdevelopment in various fields-telling Chinesestories such as \"Jack Ma and his Alibaba\"， \"MaHuateng and Tencent\"， \"Welcome to Beijing\"，\"Huawei's Story\"， \"Changes in Shenzhen\" and so on;（5） Weekly Chinese Music： it plays a classical Chinesesong every week， which enables the audience tolearn more Chinese while enjoying the charm ofChinese music. In the past two Chinese singingcompetitions held by the institute， most of the songschosen by the contestants come from the Chinesesongs Dlaved on the radio： （6） Interviews： theprogram group decides the topic of every interview，and stuff or students from China and Sierra Leoneaccept on-the-spot interview or get invited to theradio station to receive interviews. （7） China and Me：it invites students returning from China to sharetheir life and Chinese-Iearning in China， whichmakes the audience know the successful Chineselearners around them， and therefore motivatethem to learn Chinese. （8） Notice： The contents areabout the introduction of the Confucius InstituteScholarship Program， the registration notice of thenew semester， the notice of cultural activities， theannouncement of the competition of the Institute，the notice of club activities， etc.

This radio program \"Chinese Radio Show\" isbroadcast once a week， and each time lasts for anhour， having premieres and replays. By March 2018，nearly 100 episodes have been broadcast. Addingthe replays， the program has been broadcast nearly200 times， receiving more than 2 million listeners.The program is also acknowledged by the audience.On the short message platform of the program， astudent left a message saying， \"I like your programvery much. It not only helps me learn practicalChinese， but also brings me a greater expectation onstudying in China. I will work hard for it.\" BernadetteCole， Head of the Mass Communication Departmentat Fourah Bay College said： \"This Chinese radioprogram launched by the Confucius Institute hasenriched the content of Mount Aureol Radio. It notonly meets the needs of learning Chinese from thelocals， including students of Fourah Bay College，but also gives chance to more Sierra Leoneans tolearn about Chinese culture. Fourah B ay Collegewill continue to support the radio program， hopingthat the Chinese programs can be continuouslyinnovated and become better， thus to make muchmore contributions to the cultural exchanges andpeople's mutual understanding between China andSierra Leone.\"
