當代中國的快速城市化使得大量人口涌入城市,而學校等基礎設施的建設則大幅度滯后于住宅的開發,孩子們教育問題正在成為當前明顯的社會矛盾點。另一方面,高層高密度的住宅形態正在永久改變中國城市的傳統居住面貌和公共空間形態。我們的項目所在地也正經歷著這一人文和物理雙重層面的巨變。在這個社區中,周邊大批量的高層住宅帶來了巨大的人口流量,但周圍學校極為匱乏,之前最近的學校也在3公里之外。這些學齡孩子們的家長與當地政府在子女的教育權問題上有著長期的抗爭。而當這所造價成本非常有限的學校建設完成后,這一社區居民與當地教育主管機構的緊張關系忽然消失了。學校呈現出來的空間、建設標準和我們的設計理念得到了附近居民和當地政府的一致認可,政府甚至在此引入了一所在整個城市具有良好聲譽的私立教育管理機構,來向公眾提供更為優質的公共教育。這個結果使得我們開始反思整件事情的始末,并意識到設計和建筑對于社群關系的重要性。在我們的設計理念之中,學校不僅僅是提供孩子們基礎教育的場所,還應當成為社區與學校的關系紐帶、一種公共記憶的培養皿、一種城市形態的活化節點。經過巧妙的設計,有限的成本同樣能產生高品質的、富有趣味的公共空間。
The construction of infrastructure like school is behind of residence. The education of children has become a major social contradiction currently. On the other hand,the form of high-rise buildings and high density house has permanently changed the form of the traditional residence appearance and public space. The location studied in the project has experienced the radical changes between humanity and physical layers.A mass of high-rise buildings bring a large number of people in this community, while schools nearby are rarely and the nearest school is 3 miles away. Our design philosophy is that the school is not only a place providing basic education but also a link between community and school, a kind of petri dish recording public memory, a node of urban form. Through delicate design, the limited cost also makes a high quality and interesting public space.
