6月8日至18日,為慶祝中國與埃塞俄比亞建交50周年,埃塞俄比亞駐重慶總領事館舉辦了“重慶·埃塞俄比亞咖啡周”系列活動。希望以此為契機,積極推動雙方繼續深化合作。多場充滿埃塞俄比亞風情的咖啡文化交流活動,為山城帶來了咖啡起源地的別樣風情和地道風味。
埃塞俄比亞駐重慶總領事館代總領事安特能表示,中國和埃塞俄比亞建交以來,兩國攜手并肩通過“一帶一路”倡議等國際合作取得了重要成就。埃塞俄比亞與中國同為文明古國,為世界文明作出了巨大貢獻。埃塞俄比亞是世界最長河流尼羅河的起源地,同時也是人類重要飲品咖啡的起源地。
安特能介紹,咖啡就像是埃塞俄比亞的代名詞,擁有種類繁多且風味各異的咖啡豆種。埃塞俄比亞咖啡的有機特性和基因多樣性,使其在與世界各地的咖啡品種競爭中脫穎而出。比如,埃塞俄比亞有10573種已知阿拉比卡咖啡豆基因庫,它們具有獨特的香氣、風味和口感。
同時,埃塞俄比亞是世界上唯一一個生產森林咖啡的國家,并且是全球少數幾個出產特色單品咖啡的國家之一。這要求咖啡除了具有優良品質,還必須具有特殊的高辨識性風味。耶加雪啡、西達摩、利姆、哈拉爾、荊馬、特皮、貝貝卡等都是國際知名的、具有代表性的埃塞俄比亞咖啡種類。
本屆“重慶·埃塞俄比亞咖啡周”活動包括開幕式、“云上直播帶貨”、精品咖啡品鑒會等。6月12日,重慶新云潞咖啡產業有限公司旗下的馬戲咖啡舉辦了一場“云上直播帶貨”活動,埃塞俄比亞駐渝總領館代總領事安特能現場助陣,出場僅10多分鐘就賣出了82單。
安特能在直播中介紹,埃塞俄比亞所有人都愛喝咖啡,大多數埃塞俄比亞人從小就喝咖啡。當家里來了客人,主人會邀請大家一邊喝咖啡一邊聊天。埃塞俄比亞地道的傳統咖啡儀式,從清洗到飲用需要1—2個小時。一般要喝三輪,第一輪是Abol,第二輪是Tona,第三輪是Bereka。其中,第一輪味道最濃,隨著不斷加水,越往后味道就越淡。
6月18日,埃塞俄比亞駐渝總領館與重慶百瑞斯特咖啡西點調酒學院,聯合舉辦了一場埃塞俄比亞精品咖啡品鑒會。該學院院長秦志斌是中國西南地區咖啡名人,ACIC美國國際咖啡師認證金牌導師,他與安特能一起帶大家領略埃塞俄比亞精品咖啡迷人的香氣,介紹從咖啡豆挑選、烘焙到制作一杯完美咖啡的全過程。
據了解,重慶雖地處中國內陸腹地,不靠海、不沿邊、不產一粒咖啡豆,卻擁有全國頂級的咖啡交易中心。近年來,埃塞俄比亞駐重慶總領事館致力于促進雙方在咖啡領域的合作,成功推動重慶咖啡交易中心同埃塞俄比亞咖啡與茶市場發展局簽訂合作備忘錄,邀請并組織埃塞俄比亞咖啡經貿文化代表團來渝參加重慶兩江國際咖啡文化藝術節、重慶渝中國際咖啡文化節等活動,為深化重慶與埃塞俄比亞在經貿、文化、人文等領域合作作出了積極貢獻。
The Consulate General of Ethiopia in Chongqing held, from June 8th to 18th, the “Ethiopian Coffee Week in Chongqing” series activities to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ethiopia. It hopes to take this opportunity to give a strong push to bilateral cooperation. A host of activities of coffee culture exchange teemed with Ethiopian characteristics has dished up a kind of medley of the countrys greatest hits.
Acting consul general of ?the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Anteneh Tariku noted that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ethiopia, the two countries have worked side by side. Take the Belt and Road Initiative for example, it achieved remarkable development of international cooperation. The two nations, both ancient in civilizations, have composed magnificent chapters in world history. Ethiopia is the source of the Nile, the longest river in the world, as well as the origin of coffee, a vital drink of mankind.
Coffee is synonymous of Ethiopia as the country has come a long way with great beans wide in varieties, distinctive in flavors, and exceptional in grades, explained Anteneh Tariku. ?The organic nature and genetic diversity of Ethiopian coffees make it stand out amongst coffee varieties from around the world. Ethiopia has a gene pool of 10,573 varieties of known Arabica coffee beans with unique aromas, flavors and tastes, for instance.
Also, Ethiopia, the only country in the world, produces forest coffees and, one of the few countries in the world, claims excellent single varietals or delicious players in blends. Ethiopian coffees are recognized worldwide for their level of quality and flavor, including well-known and representative beans such as Yirgacheffe, Sidamo, Limu, Harar, Jimma, Tepi, and Bebeka.
The "Ethiopian Coffee Week in Chongqing" included an opening ceremony, a shopping session through cloud livestreaming, and a coffee tasting. On June 12th Circus Coffee, a brand of Chongqing Xinyunlu Coffee Industry Co Ltd, hosted a shopping spree online, acting consul-general Anteneh Tarikus presence unmistakably sparked the atmosphere on the site, creating an immediate effect of 82 orders getting placed in just ten minutes.
Mr. Tariku introduced in the livestreaming that everyone in Ethiopia loves coffee, and most of the Ethiopians have been drinking coffee since childhood. When guests call on, the hosts invite everyone to drink coffee while having conversations. The traditional ritual of tasting Ethiopian coffee takes a couple of hours from washing to drinking. Usually, there are three rounds. The first round is called Abol, the second Tona, and the third Bereka. The first round bears with the strongest flavor, and as water keeps being poured in, the flavor gets thinner.
The Ethiopian Consulate General in Chongqing and Chongqing Barista Coffee Pastry Bartender Training College jointly sponsored an Ethiopian coffee tasting on June 18th. Mr. Qin Zhibin, president of the college, a coffee luminary in Chinas southwest, and an ACIC Certified Golden Instructor, along with Mr. Tariku took the audience on a journey through the fascinating aroma of Ethiopias exceptionally flavorful gourmet coffees and bean selection to the whole process of roasting and making the perfect cup.
Chongqing, although situated in China's hinterland, neither coastal nor bordering, nor producing a grain of coffee bean, has the country's top coffee trading center. The Consulate Generals commitment to promoting cooperation in the sector in recent years helped Chongqing Coffee Exchange sign a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority. The Consulate Generals invitation to and organization of the Ethiopian delegations of coffee trade and culture to participate in the events such as Chongqing Liangjiang International Coffee Festival and Chongqing (Yuzhong) International Coffee Cultural Festival made new contributions to strengthening economic, trade, and cultural ties between Chongqing and Ethiopia.
