古巴駐華大使卡洛斯·佩雷拉：重慶是一個充滿情懷的地方，我會是這里的常客

8月27日—30日，古巴駐華大使卡洛斯·佩雷拉和夫人一行來重慶參觀訪問，出席中國（重慶）—古巴對接會。早在1997年，佩雷拉就首次到訪重慶，2006年至2011年期間他擔任古巴駐華大使，也曾兩次訪渝。2019年12月，他再次擔任古巴駐華大使一職，此行是他新任期內第一次來到重慶。記者對他進行了采訪。

“我多次到訪重慶， 城市變化讓人驚嘆”

“今年是中古建交60周年，古巴和中國有著60年的相互信任和堅定友誼。我曾3次到訪重慶，留下深刻印象。如今再次來渝，感到非常親切，所到之處都能感受到這座城市煥發的生機與活力，其變化不僅體現在城市面貌上，更體現在經濟發展等更深層面，這樣的成果很不簡單。”佩雷拉大使感慨道。

佩雷拉十分關注重慶，來渝前通過新聞得知重慶遭遇特大洪峰過境，他擔心會給市民生活造成影響，“但是現在已經看不到洪峰過境的痕跡，一切井然有序。”對重慶高效的城市管理工作和重慶人民的樂觀精神，佩雷拉表示贊賞和佩服，“重慶如此迅速地恢復重建能力，可以看出未來的城市建設必定非常好。而古巴人民也同樣擁有樂觀的精神，這也說明古巴和重慶有著廣闊的合作前景。”

“重慶與古巴還有許多領域可以展開合作”

尋求新的合作項目，是佩雷拉此次訪渝的重要目的之一。“中國是古巴的第二大貿易伙伴，重慶生產的摩托車在古巴很受歡迎。通過與重慶市領導的會見、對接會、實地參觀考察，我更進一步確認了古巴與重慶在經貿、醫療、教育、文化和旅游等多個領域可以開展深入合作。雙方在多個領域的合作存在很大的互補性，比如文化和旅游、教育等方面都存在巨大的合作空間。”佩雷拉大使說。

在今年疫情期間，中國向包括古巴在內的多國提供了援助，“此次新冠肺炎疫情讓我們不僅看到了中國的實力，也看到了大國的擔當，來自中國的物資援助對于古巴人民來說非常及時、也非常重要。其中，由重慶市政府捐贈的呼吸機也正在運往古巴的途中。”佩雷拉大使表達了自己的感激之情。

古巴擁有世界一流的醫療水平。佩雷拉大使特別提到，“在醫療服務領域，古巴與重慶可以展開更深入合作。古巴曾派遣過眼科醫生來到重慶交流，古巴也歡迎醫療科技、技術、設備等相關的重慶企業到古巴投資合作。在拉丁美洲其他地區提供醫療服務的古巴醫生，也可以幫助重慶推廣醫療方面的技術和人才。”

華語歌手周杰倫的新歌《Mojito》MV在古巴拍攝，充滿拉丁風情。佩雷拉大使說：“用于調制Mojito（一種雞尾酒）的白朗姆酒就是古巴特產，歡迎大家來品嘗。”他此行的另一個目標就是向重慶推介更多優質產品，古巴還有雪茄煙、龍蝦、白蝦等產品，現在中國已成為古巴龍蝦的最大消費國，希望未來古巴能成為在中國最具實力的白蝦供應國。

據了解，古巴是拉美國家中首個把旅游作為發展重點的國家之一，并啟動了“Welcome Chinese”（歡迎中國人）項目，吸引中國游客。“未來，我們也許會開辟包機業務，方便中國游客到古巴旅游。古巴有意與重慶進一步加強旅游領域的合作。”佩雷拉大使說，重慶是一個充滿情懷的地方，未來他將是重慶的常客。

"I've visited Chongqing for many times， the changes of this city are amazing."

"This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and China， both countries have seen 60 years of mutual trust and firm friendship. I've visited Chongqing three times and was deeply impressed. Now I come to Chongqing again and feel very close to this city. Everywhere I go， I can feel its vitality and dynamism. Its changes are reflected not only in the city appearance， but also in a deeper level of economic development. Such results are hard earned." Ambassador Pereira exclaimed.

Pereira follows Chongqing closely. Before visiting Chongqing， he learned from the news that a catastrophic flood peak passed the city and was worried that the flood peak would affect the life of people. "But now there's no trace of the passing flood peak， everything is in order." Pereira expressed his commendation and admiration for Chongqing's efficient urban administration and the optimism of Chongqing people. "Chongqing's rapid recovery and reconstruction capabilities show its promising urban construction in the future. Cuban people， on the other hand， share the same optimism， and it also indicates that Cuba and Chongqing enjoy broad cooperation prospects."

"Chongqing and Cuba still have many fields for cooperation"

One of the important purposes of Pereira's visit to Chongqing is to seek new cooperation projects "China is Cuba's second largest trading partner， and motorcycles produced in Chongqing are highly popular in Cuba. During meetings with the leaders of Chongqing， the Foro China （Chongqing） - Cuba meeting and field visits， I further confirmed that Cuba and Chongqing could carry out in-depth cooperation in economy and trade， healthcare， education， cultural tourism， etc. Great complementarity exists in cooperation between Cuba and China in many fields， such as cultural tourism， education， etc." said Ambassador Pereira.

During COVID-19， China provided assistance to many countries， including Cuba. "The COVID-19 outbreak not only exhibits China's strength， but also the responsibility of a great country. Material assistance from China is extremely timely and important to Cuban people. Among them， ventilators donated by the Chongqing Government are also on their way to Cuba." Ambassador Pereira uttered this gratitude.

Cuba boasts first-class healthcare level in the world. In particular， Ambassador Pereira mentioned that， "Cuba and Chongqing can carry out more in-depth cooperation in the field of medical services. Cuba has sent ophthalmologists to Chongqing to exchange experiences. It also welcomes relevant Chongqing enterprises such as medical technology， technology and equipment to invest and cooperate in Cuba. Cuban doctors who provide medical services in other parts of Latin America can also help promote medical technology and talents of Chongqing."

The MV of Chinese singer Jay Chou's new hit song-Mojito is shot in Cuba， teemed with the charm of Latin America. "The white rum used to make Mojito （a cocktail） is a specialty of Cuba， and you are welcome to taste it." said Ambassador Pereira. Another goal of his trip is to introduce more high-quality products to Chongqing. Cuba also offers cigars， lobsters， sea shrimps and other products. At present， China has already become the largest consumer of Cuban lobsters. He hopes that Cuba will become the most competent supplier of white shrimps to China in the future.

It is understood that Cuba is one of the first Latin American countries to focus on tourism and has launched the program"Welcome Chinese" to attract Chinese tourists. "In the future， we may develop chartered flights to facilitate Chinese tourists to travel around Cuba. Cuba intends to further strengthen cooperation in the field of tourism with Chongqing." Ambassador Pereira said that Chongqing is a place full of memories and he will be a regular to Chongqing in the future.
