與時俱進，熱點紛呈。熱點話題時代感強，體現語言傳遞信息的功能。隨著現代社會的發展，人們更多地放眼社會、國家、全球，關注人類命運、國家前途與生命質量等，如COVID-19、人工智能、太空探索、5G技術、全球變暖、節約能源、環境保護、交通問題等。

課標中“熱點話題” 涉及的主要內容有：（1）Population；（2）Environmental conservation；（3）Crime and punishment； （4）Social differences；（5）Pollution。
