人類社會與自然環(huán)境相互依存，人與自然應(yīng)和諧相處。 但是近年來人們?yōu)榱俗陨淼陌l(fā)展，破壞了部分地區(qū)的環(huán)境狀況，造成了環(huán)境的嚴(yán)重污染和退化，這將嚴(yán)重威脅人類的生存和發(fā)展。 當(dāng)前，隨著國家對環(huán)境問題的重視程度不斷提高，高考從引導(dǎo)考生核心價值觀的角度出發(fā)，也會越來越重視對世界與環(huán)境類話題的考查。 世界與環(huán)境主題包括動植物保護(hù)、生態(tài)保護(hù)、環(huán)境污染和保護(hù)等方面。 它們與學(xué)生的生活息息相關(guān)。 對這些話題的學(xué)習(xí)和高考英語對這些話題的考查，可以讓學(xué)生多注意身邊的人和事，關(guān)注社會環(huán)境，樹立環(huán)保意識，學(xué)會與大自然和諧相處。
