Effect of Modified Dihuang Yinzi on MAS and NIHSS in the treatment of patients with cerebral thrombosis in recovery stage

[Abstract] Objective To investigate the effect of Modified Dihuang Yinzi on MAS and NIHSS scores in the treatment of patients with cerebral thrombosis in recovery period. Methods From January 2018 to December 2020，80 patients with cerebral thrombosis in recovery period treated in the Department of Neurology of our hospital were randomly divided into two groups. The control group was treated with conventional western medicine. On this basis，the observation group was treated with Modified Dihuang Yinzi. The clinical efficacy，the movement score standard （MAS） of stroke patients，the changes of the National Institutes of Health Neurological Impairment Score （NIHSS），the ability of daily living （ADL） and the Brunel Balance Scale （BBA） Changes，changes in TCM syndrome scores，changes in inflammatory factors and neurological factors levels of the two groups were compared. Results The effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 95.00%，which was significantly higher than 75.00% in the control group （P<0.05）. The NIHSS score of the observation group after treatment was significantly lower than that of the control group，and the MAS score，ADL score，and BBA score were significantly higher than the control group （P<0.05）. The scores of TCM syndromes in the observation group after treatment，such as hemiplegia，astringent speech，crooked tongue，waist and knee weakness，dizziness，tinnitus，and limb numbness，were significantly lower than those in the control group （P<0.05）. The tumor necrosis factor-α （TNF-α），interleukin-6 （IL-6），serum cystatin C （Cys-C），neuron-specific enolase （NSE） levels after treatment were significantly lower than those of the control group，while the level of BDNF was significantly higher than that of the control group （P<0.05）. Conclusion Modified Dihuang Yinzi has a significant effect in the treatment of patients with cerebral thrombosis during the recovery period.It can promote the repair of damaged nerve function，improve motor function，reduce TCM syndromes，reduce the degree of inflammation in the body，and promote the recovery of the disease.It has a positive clinical significance.
