1 The official HSK test for levels 7 to 9漢語(yǔ)水平九級(jí)考試要來(lái)了

A total of 212,000 students from more than 140 countries took part in the HSK tests over the first half of last year, up by almost 10 percent from the same period in 2021. Chinese language learners will have to answer 98 questions for the official HSK test for levels 7 to 9. They are tested on listening, speaking,reading, writing and translation. While maintaining［維持；保持］the current six levels of HSK tests, the updated HSK tests will classify［將……分類(lèi)］the Chinese proficiency of international learners into three stages and nine levels. The HSK level 1～6 will not change for the time being, and the validity, content, vocabulary and form of the test will stay the same. For HSK level 7, learners will have to demonstrate a good command of listening, speaking, reading and writing and basic ability in professional translation, able to engage in standard, fluent and appropriate social communication on a wide range of level-appropriate topics.For HSK level 9, learners must demonstrate a good command of listening,speaking, reading and writing and professional translation, able to conduct standard, fluent, and appropriate social communication by using a variety of skills, under all circumstances［情況；情形］and on all topics.

2022 年上半年，來(lái)自140 余個(gè)國(guó)家的21.2 萬(wàn)名考生參加了漢語(yǔ)水平考試，比2021 年同期增長(zhǎng)近10%。參加漢語(yǔ)水平考試7～9 級(jí)的漢語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)者需完成98道題，這些題綜合考查考生聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、寫(xiě)、譯五種語(yǔ)言技能。在保持現(xiàn)有6個(gè)級(jí)別考試的基礎(chǔ)上，首先增加7～9 級(jí)，形成“三等九級(jí)”的考試等級(jí)體系。目前正在實(shí)施的HSK 1～6 級(jí)近期不會(huì)調(diào)整，考試效力、考試內(nèi)容、參考詞匯及考試形式不變，將繼續(xù)穩(wěn)定實(shí)施。通過(guò)HSK 7 級(jí)的考生具備良好的聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、寫(xiě)能力和初步的專(zhuān)業(yè)翻譯能力，能夠就較為廣泛和較高層次的話題進(jìn)行基本規(guī)范、流利、得體的社會(huì)交際。通過(guò)HSK 9 級(jí)的考生具備良好的聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、寫(xiě)能力和專(zhuān)業(yè)翻譯能力，能夠綜合運(yùn)用各種技能，在各種情境下，就各類(lèi)話題進(jìn)行規(guī)范、流利、得體的社會(huì)交際。

2 So-called “anti-cheating hats”菲律賓大學(xué)生自制“防作弊帽”

Images of students wearing so-called “anti-cheating hats”during college exams have gone viral on social media in the Philippines, sparking amusement.Students at one college in Legazpi City were asked to wearheadgear［帽子］that would prevent them peeking at others’ papers. Many responded by creating home-made contraptions out of cardboard, egg boxes and other recycled materials. Their tutor said that she had been looking for a “fun way” to ensure “integrity［正直；誠(chéng)實(shí)］and honesty” in her classes. Mary Joy Mandane-Ortiz, a professor of mechanical engineering at Bicol University College of Engineering, said the idea had been “really effective”. A string of the professor’s Facebook posts—showing the youngsters wearing their elaborate creations—gathered thousands of likes in a matter of days, and attracted coverage from Filipino media outlets. They also reportedly inspired schools and universities in other parts of the country to encourage their own students to put together anti-cheating headgear.Mandane-Ortiz said her tutees performed better, having been motivated by the strict examination conditions to study extra hard. Many of them finished their tests early, she added—and nobody was caught cheating.

3 A washing machine for humans科技公司擬研制“人類(lèi)洗澡機(jī)”

Science, a Japanese technology company specializing in bathroom and kitchen innovation, recently unveiled plans to produce a washing machine for humans. Believe it or not, theconcept［概念；觀念］of a human washing machine isn’t new. At the 1970 Osaka Expo, Japanese electronics giant Sanyo Electric showcased its “Ultrasonic Bath”, a human washing machine that cleaned, massaged, and dried the occupant in a fully-automated 15-minute cycle. The concept never really took off as a commercial product, but now another Japanese technology company wants to take a shot at it, promising to deliver a modern take on the human washing machine by 2025.

Science has stated that the goal of Project Usoyaro is not solely to thoroughly clean the body of the user, but also to provide a healing space where you can relax andunwind［放松］to the sound of soothing music and the view of images displayed on a water-resistant display inside the machine.Sensors inside the washing machine will measure the state of sympathetic and parasympathetic nerves, and the built-in AI will use the collected data to create the most comfortable atmosphere possible. Science expects that Project Usoyaro will result in a functional human washing machine by 2024,which the company hopes to showcase at the 2025 Osaka Expo.
