“點亮未來”中尼政黨民生與減貧行動 在加德滿都開啟

On the morning of July 24， the “Lighting Up the Future” China-Nepal Political Parties Livelihood and Poverty Alleviation Action kicked off in Nepals capital， Kathmandu. Yuan Jiajun， Member of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau and Secretary of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee， and Devraj Ghimire， Speaker of the House of Representatives of Nepal and leader of the Communist Party of Nepal （Unified Marxist–Leninist）， attended the event and delivered speeches. They also attended the launch ceremony of the “Vibrant Villages” demonstration project， an initiative of the China-South Asian Poverty Alleviation and Cooperative Development Center， and unveiled the China-Nepal Friendship Classroom.

Chen Song， Ambassador of China to Nepal， delivered a speech. Attendees also included Guo Yezhou， Vice Minister of the International Department of CPC Central Committee as well as Chen Mingbo and Luo Lin， Chongqing municipal leaders.

Yuan Jiajun highlighted that China and Nepal are close neighbors connected by mountains and rivers， friends with a long-standing friendship， and development partners with a shared future. China will deliver on the important consensus reached by leaders of both sides， promote exchanges and cooperation between the two nations and at the sub-national level， and bring our relations to new heights.

“Lighting Up the Future” China-Nepal Political Parties Livelihood and Poverty Alleviation Action is a vivid manifestation of the CPCs commitment to a people-centered development philosophy and the tradition of standing together in solidarity. China is willing to work with Nepal to expand exchanges and cooperation， focusing on key areas such as alleviating poverty， implementing development agenda， improving livelihoods， increasing grain output， revitalizing rural areas， and building infrastructures. By doing so， we will bring tangible benefits to the peoples of our two countries and make contributions to building a closer community with a shared future between China and Nepal.

Devraj Ghimire noted that Nepal and China enjoy a long-standing traditional friendship. We are good neighbors， good friends， and good partners. In 2019， President Xi Jinping paid a historic state visit to Nepal， where a series of important cooperation agreements were reached. This CPC delegation led by Yuan Jiajun， a member of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau and Secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Committee， will play an active role in implementing the important consensus reached by leaders of both sides.

It is of great significance for the two countries' political parties to carry out the “Lighting up the Future” poverty alleviation action. Nepal is making all-out efforts to promote economic development and improve peoples living standards. Nepal aims to strengthen practical cooperation with China， especially with Chongqing， in fields like culture， education， tourism， agriculture， and rural revitalization to achieve common development and shared prosperity.

Chen Song said China and Nepal are friendly neighbors linked by mountains and rivers. The two peoples have been close friends for generations. We are here to open a new chapter in the initiative on peoples well-being and poverty alleviation between the political parties of China and Nepal. It will enhance the friendship and cooperation between the two political parties and contribute to Nepals development as we pursue shared progress. In July 2021， China-South Asian Countries Poverty Alleviation and Cooperative Development Center was officially launched in Chongqing to share Chinas experience in poverty alleviation and its development with other countries and jointly explore a new path for sustainable growth in South Asia. The “Vibrant Villages” demonstration project is a key initiative of the China-South Asia Poverty Alleviation and Cooperative Development Center. In the future， the Center will actively help Nepal build capacity for home-grown development and continuously improve peoples well-being.

Shalikram Jamkattel， Chief Minister of Bagmati Province， delivered a speech， and the principal of LRI School extended his gratitude.

Yuan Jiajun and Devraj Ghimire joined the venue in Kubinde Village， Chotra City， Sindubalchowk District， Bagmati Province， via a video link and witnessed the unveiling of the “Vibrant Villages” demonstration project of the China-South Asian Countries Poverty Alleviation and Cooperative Development Center.

Later， Yuan Jiajun and Devraj Ghimire went to the Information Teaching Building of LRI. School and unveiled the China-Nepal Friendship Classroom. He also paid a visit to the digital classroom. In the classroom， the Nepalese students recited the ancient poem Sailing Early from Baidi Town by the famous Chinese ancient poet Li Bai and sang the Chinese song Let Us Sway Twin Oars. Yuan Jiajun showed great interest and had a cordial conversation with the children， encouraging them to study harder. He invited them to visit Chongqing， become China-Nepal friendship ambassadors， and carry forward the friendship between China and Nepal for generations.

Leaders of relevant political parties from Nepal and officials of relevant departments and organizations attended the event.

袁家軍說，中尼是山水相連的好鄰居、世代友好的好朋友、命運與共的發展伙伴。我們將落實兩國領導人達成的重要共識，促進兩國及地方間交流合作，推動雙邊關系邁上新臺階。兩國政黨開展“點亮未來”民生與減貧行動，是中國共產黨踐行以人民為中心的發展思想的生動體現，是中尼同舟共濟、守望相助深情厚誼的現實寫照。我們愿同尼泊爾一道，聚焦減貧發展、民生改善、糧食增產、鄉村振興、基礎設施建設等重點領域擴大交流合作，讓人民感受到實實在在的成果，為中尼打造更加緊密的命運共同體作出積極貢獻。

袁家軍、吉米雷視頻連線位于巴格馬蒂省辛杜巴爾喬克地區喬特拉市庫賓德村分會場，共同見證中國南亞國家減貧與發展合作中心“活力鄉村”示范項目揭牌。隨后，袁家軍、吉米雷前往L.R.I學校信息教學樓，共同為中尼友誼教室揭牌并參觀多媒體教室。教室里，尼泊爾學生朗誦了古詩《早發白帝城》、合唱中文歌曲《讓我們蕩起雙槳》。袁家軍駐足聆聽，同孩子們親切交談，希望他們努力學習，并邀請大家到重慶參觀學習，將來成為中尼友誼大使，世代傳承中國和尼泊爾的友好情誼。
