Li Bai holds a wine cup in his hand， while Du Fu sits in front of a desk， writing poems. It’s not that we have travelled to the past. Modern technology has brought them “back to life”.

The two great poets， along with other humanoid robots， wеrе presented at the World Robot Conference 2023 in Beijing in late August. They looked similar to real human beings.

Their skin was made of medical-grade bionic silicone（仿生硅膠）， which was why the skin looked soft and veins could be seen through it.

Researchers are also trying hard to create other features of humans on robots. A US robotics startup named Apptronik brought out its humanoid robot called Apollo on Aug 23. Apollo has around 30 muscles（肌肉）.

However， humans have around 300 muscles in our bodies. For now， engineers can only simplify the muscles to enable basic movements like holding objects and walking.

The robot also contains cameras and sensors（傳感器）in its head， helping it map out a 360-degree view of its environment. They also help the robot keep balance when walking on uncertain surfaces.

Nowadays， bionic human-like robots mostly work with humans as guides and receptionists. There are also robots that share the work of nurses， such as handing out medicine.

As more humanoid robots come out， ensuring their safety will be the key， according to the Robot Report website. When a 70-kilogram robot breaks down and falls， humans nearby may be hurt.

It also has sensors in its eyes that can send X-rays images. The robot could not only always pay all attention to the patient’s condition but also help the doctor to save more lives. It can be set up next to the patients in the ICU and provide real-time rescue. Time is life. It’s necessary to hold the each second to help the patient fight against the diseases.

In the future， I hope that such a robot can greatly improve people’s medical level and quality of life.

Good morning！ I’m Li Hua. It’s my great honour to be here to talk about “My Dream Robot”.

With the rapid development of modern technology， robots are widely used in our daily life， such as housekeeping robots， robotic waiters， tour guides and so on. For me， I dream of having a medical robot to look after my grandma， who lives alone in the village.

My dream robot looks similar to a human， with a lovely face and a good temper. Whenever grandma feels lonely， the robot will chat with her and always keep patient. Moreover， it stores a great number of medical cases and acts like an experienced doctor. Therefore， it can offer useful healthcare advice and cure common diseases like flu as well. Finally， the robot contains cameras， sensors and communication devices in its body， helping it pay attention to grandma’s physical conditions at all times. In case of dangerous situations， it will call 120 at once and provide patients with first-aid treatment.

As we know， China is entering the aging society. I believe such a medical robot can greatly improve the life quality of the elderly people.
