雪公主

Robert was a truck driver， he drove(drive--drove)a truck in a small town. The traffic(交通)in the town was very busy. Robert was poor (貧窮的，可憐的)and his family didn't live with him.

One winter(冬天)afternoon， he was free. He went out of his small room and sat down on the step (階梯)，It was snowing .He stretched out (伸出)his hand and turned into (變成) a beautiful little girl. Her face was like a flower， she was the Snow Princess (公主).The Snow Princess wore a white skirt and a small red cap. She said，“My mother said you had no friend， she asked me to come to you From now on， I'm your daughter. Every winter， I'll come to you ，but when spring (春天)comes， I must go back to my mother.”The driver was very happy， he opened the door and let the Snow Princess go in .The little girl said， “Oh， no， I cannot go into the warm (溫暖的)house， could you build a small snow house for me?”“Sure，”the driver said.

Now， all the people knew the driver had a daughter， who was the most beautiful of the town. The King(國王)knew it too， he wanted to have a look. When the King and his men came to the door of the small snow house， the Snow Princess came out. Her eyes were shining (閃亮著)，her clothes were white like snow. The King looked at her face and said， “I must get you ， I must marry(和……結婚)you ， I won't marry any other girl.”He turned to the driver and said，“Give me your daughter and I will give you anything you need in return (作為回報)”The driver answered， “No， I shall never give you my daughter because you are so old and cruel(殘忍的).”The Snow Princess whispered(悄聲說)something into her father's ear， “Don't worry， ask him to give you the imperial seal(玉璽)， then， I'll marry him.”The driver said so to the King. The King said， It's no use for you to get the imperial seal. Well， since you asked for it ，you can keep it for me.”After the King gave the imperial seal to the driver， the King went into the Snow Princess'house. Just at that time， heavy snow was falling(落下).The Snow Princess'house was shining and suddenly(突然)，the King turned into ice（冰）。

The driver became(變成)the king， and the Snow Princess still(還，仍然)came to stay with her father every winter.

一個冬天的下午，他沒事兒呆在家里。他從小房間走出來。坐在門前的階梯上。天下著雪，他伸出手，雪花落到他的手心上。手心上的一朵雪花兒變成了一個漂亮的小姑娘，小姑娘的臉像一朵花，她就是雪公主。雪公主穿著白色的裙子，戴著紅色的小帽。她說：“我媽媽說你沒有朋友，她要我來陪你。從今后，我就是你的女兒。每個冬天，我都會來，但到了春天，我就得回到我的媽媽那兒去。”司機非常高興，他把門打開請雪公主進屋，小女孩說：“哦！不行，我不能走進溫暖的房間，你能為我建造一座小雪房子嗎？”“當然可以。”司機說。

現在，所有的人都知道這個司機有了一個女兒，她是全城最漂亮的。國王也知道了，他想來看一看。當國王和他的隨從來到雪房子門口的時候，雪公主走了出來。她的眼睛閃閃發亮，她的衣服像雪一樣白。國王看著她的臉，說“我必須得到你，我一定要和你結婚，我不會和別的女孩子結婚。”他轉向司機說：“你把你的女兒給我，你需要任何東西我都可以給你。”

司機回答說：“不，我決不把女兒給你，你既衰老又殘忍。”雪公主對著她爸爸的耳朵說：“別擔收，叫他把玉璽給你，我就和他結婚。”司機把雪公主的話對國王說了，國王說：“你拿玉璽也徒勞無益，不過，你既然說出來了，你就為我保管吧。”國王把玉璽交給了司機，走進了雪公主的房子。就在這時，天下起了大雪，雪公主的房子突然雪亮，國王變成了一塊冰。

司機成了國王，雪公主每年冬天仍然到這兒來陪她的爸爸。
