形容詞“三級解碼”

形容詞的比較等級可分為原級、比較級和最高級三種形式。現將其用法歸納如下：

[一級解碼] 原級的用法

1. 句中只出現了一個人或物，沒有比較對象時，要用原級。例如：

She has a new computer. 她有一臺新電腦。

2. 表示A和B兩者比較，程度相同。用句型：A＋系動詞＋as＋形容詞原級＋as＋B。例如：

Tom is as honest as John. 湯姆和約翰一樣誠實。

This jacket is as cheap as that one. 這件夾克和那件一樣便宜。

3. 表示A和B兩者比較，A在程度上不如B。用句型：A＋系動詞＋not＋

as/so＋形容詞原級＋as＋B。例如：

He is not as /so tall as I.他不如我高。

The weather in Beijing is not as /so hot as that in Wuhan .北京的天氣不如武漢熱。

需注意的原級的用法：

1. 表示倍數的句型：A＋系動詞＋數詞+times＋as＋形容詞原級＋as＋B (A是B的幾倍)。例如：

This garden is ten times as large as that one. 這個花園是那個的十倍。

2. as…as possible(表示“盡可能……”)。例如：

Please hand in your homework as soon as possible.請盡可能快地交上你的家庭作業。

[二級解碼] 比較級的用法

兩者比較，說明“A比B更……一些”用句型：A＋系動詞＋形容詞的比較級＋than＋B。例如：

Mary is happier than Jane.瑪麗比珍妮幸福。

Beijing is more beautiful than Wuhan. 北京比武漢美麗。

注意：有時因為被比較的對象不需說出來，句中就會省略“than＋被比較的對象”。這時需要根據上下文的暗示來判斷形容詞的級別。例如：

The old man has a daughter and a son. The daughter is younger. 那位老人有一兒一女。女兒年輕一些。

需注意的比較級的用法：

1. 在比較級前面還可用much， even， still， a little等詞語來修飾，表示“……得多”，“甚至……”，“更……”，“……一些”。例如：

This garden is a little larger than that one. 這個花園比那個大一點兒。

2. 表示倍數：A＋系動詞＋數詞+times＋形容詞的比較級＋than＋B。例如：

Our room is twice larger than theirs. 我們的房間比他們的大兩倍。

3. 表示“大……歲”時用“表示數量的詞＋比較級”來表示。例如：

I am two years older than you.我比你大兩歲。

4. “比較級＋than any other＋單數名詞”表示“比其他的任何……都……”。例如：

He is better than any other student at English in the class. 他的英語比班里其他任何學生都學得好。

5. “比較級＋and＋比較級”表示“越來越……”。例如：

The earth is getting warmer and warmer. 地球變得越來越熱。

6. “the＋比較級+…，the＋比較級+…”，譯為“越……就越……”。例如：

8. Which /Who is＋比較級，A or B?譯為“A和B哪一個更……？”例如：

[三級解碼] 最高級的用法

表示三者或三者以上(人或物)的比較，其中有一個在某一方面超過其他兩個或幾個時，用最高級。常用句型：A＋系動詞＋the＋形容詞最高級＋of / in+…。例如：

Tom is the happiest of us all. 湯姆是我們當中最幸福的。

This park is the most beautiful in this city. 這個公園是這個城市中最美麗的。

注意：當用介詞短語表示形容詞最高級的比較范圍時，介詞后的名詞或代詞與句中的主語是同一類事物，并把主語包括在內時，介詞用of；當只說明是在某一空間范圍內的比較時，介詞用in。例如：

of the four 在四個之中

of all the things在所有的事物中

in the world在世界上

in my family在我家

需注意的最高級的用法：

1. one of the＋最高級＋復數名詞，表示“最……之一”。例如：

Shanghai is one of the most beautiful cities in China.上海是中國最美麗的城市之一。

One of the most important languages is English. 英語是最重要的語言之一。

2. Which/Who is＋the＋最高級，A，B or C？意指三個或三個以上的事物或人中“哪一個(誰)最……？”例如：

Which is the heaviest， the horse， the sheep or the elephant？ 馬、羊和大象，哪個最重？

Who is the oldest， your father， your mother or your aunt? 你爸、你媽和你阿姨，誰年紀最大？

3. 我們可以用原級、比較級、最高級三種方式分別來表示最高級。例如：

她是班上最好的學生。

原級：No other student in her class is as good as she.

比較級：She is better than any other student in her class. 或No other student in her class is better than she.

最高級：She is the best student in her class.
