Robert Frost(羅伯特·福洛斯特,1874-1963),美國(guó)最著名詩(shī)人之一。福洛斯特獲得詩(shī)名之前,時(shí)而務(wù)農(nóng),時(shí)而到中學(xué)教希臘語(yǔ)和拉丁語(yǔ)。1913年,他出版了第一部詩(shī)集。福洛斯特的詩(shī)歌備受讀者喜愛,原因之一是沒有受過多少學(xué)校教育的人都能看懂,他堅(jiān)持使用日常語(yǔ)言,描寫自己觀察入微的日常事件。福洛斯特的許多詩(shī)歌反映了他與大自然的貼近,通過自然來表達(dá)一種象征意義。福洛斯特1915年所作的《未選之路》是最著名的一首詩(shī)。
