A Yi River in Pengshui: exploring the deepness and serenity along the winding path, listening to the sounds reverberating in valleys

A Yi River in Pengshui is located in the subtropical moist monsoon climate zone with annual average temperature of 17.50℃.

A Yi River is sourced from Guizhou Province, and winds northeast to Pengshui County in Chongqing. After passing through Changqi Dam, Zhouzi Tuo, Sanjiang Kou, it pours into Wujing at Changxi Beach in Wanzu town. The distance between Changqi Dam and the mouth of Wujiang is 21 kilometers. In this section of A Yi river are deep valleys and high gorges. Though rocks spread all over the strait riverbed, the river water is quiet and scenic with charming sceneries on the banks found here and there. When walking in it or rafting on the river, one is like in the beautiful paradise and seems like Tao Yunming, a poet in ancient times, rafting into the Peach Garden, and enjoys oneself so much that forget all about going back. Water- based resources in the while river section of A Yi river in Pengshui are very rich with the waterscapes in the water sections of Qili Tang and Ertang river being especially unique. The green water is limpid and quiet with bamboo around on the banks.

A Yi river drift is in the lower reach of Niujiao Zhai with the drift length of 9 kilometers and enjoys the fame of “the first selfdrifting in the world”. After boating from the Zhuban Qiao wharf, one is going to experience the thrills and enjoy unique coolness and refreshment while boating with the bamboo in hand and pointing at the riverbanks.

The weather of Gujian Mountain is pleasant with high content of negative oxygen ion and annual average temperature of 18.5℃. All these have made it the excellent natural air anion bar nearest to the major city of Chongqing.

Gujiang Mountain is located in the northwest of Qijiang District of Chongqing and is 10 kilometers away from Qijiang urban area. The mountain advances tortuously from the Dalou Mountain in Guizhou province, of which the altitude is between 800m and 1200m. In the whole section of river, the forest coverage rate mounts to 85%.

Several peaks overlapping each other are wearing green through out the year. Ten thousand acres of forests in the scenic spot enjoy a wild profusion of vegetation. Steep and dangerous stone steeps seem to be hanging on the heaven. Some particular fi ne stalagmites are like optimus primes. Yang Qiao appears like a fl ying rainbow in the sky and forms a splendid sight; Sheshen Ya is fl owing down vigorously and makes people shrink back at the sight of it. The Golden Rooster is raising its head and crowing as if it were alive; Smoke of joss sticks and candles in the temples are curling upward and makes the temples more mysterious. Buddhas enshrined and worshiped in the temple are wearing various expressions and full of miraculous brightness…… it feels like in a dream or in a fairyland when placing oneself in the mountain.
