What we learned from the development of internet celebrity

Abstract：I used to doubt whether pay and harvest are in a direct proportion since I found that the internet celebrity made few attempts to become famous. In my impression they only need to post their selfies on the internet then lots of fans are attracted. So I began to investigate this kind of phenomenon.

Actually the internet celebrity isnt a newly risen phenomenon. lets see the development of it.

In 2004， some people uploaded the photo of芙蓉姐姐 to the internet .Her unique pose and excessive confidence in her self-expression formed a sharp contrast with the publics aesthetic standards and finally made her an internet celebrity. Known as the originator of internet celebrity ，she was awarded the “ internet celebrity in seven years” by China Internet Economic Forum award on December 18th， 2015.

Another internet celebrity is鳳姐，who claimed to be the most beautiful person in 600 years and had been cultivating her mind by reading many books since her childhood. Her shocking words quickly made her became popular on the internet.

Besides 芙蓉姐姐and鳳姐， internet celebrities like木子美、小月月all have a lot in common. They either regard ugliness as beauty or say some shocking words only to catch others eyes.

Thats the period we call internet celebrity 1.0. In that period， internet celebrities all have internet marketers to help them become famous and the public paid more attention to their strange behavior. Fortunately， this kind of value changed over the years.

Now talking about internet celebrities， maybe these will be the pictures come to our mind. Faces like awl， big eyes， and channel never missed in their selfies. Internet celebrities like周揚(yáng)青、雪梨Cherie are the examples of this kind. They all born in wealthy families and their way to become an internet celebrity is just to show off their beauty and richness as well as to have a relationship with famous actors. However the time of their fame is temporary and later they will be forgotten by the public.

But there are still some successful internet celebrities became famous for their distinguished contents and ideas but not for their appearances or shocking words.

Since August， 2015， papi started to put short videos on microblog. Clicks of her videos soon rise to a million and fans of her microblog reached 4 million. She then became an internet celebrity because of her humorous content and special ideas.艾克里里、穆雅斕are also the internet celebrities who promptly become famous through their interesting short videos and their special telling of the story.

Besides short videos， some internet celebrities like 顧爺became famous for their talents and original stories. His special point of view and free resources of painting arts made the reading quantity of his stories reached 100 thousand.

Compared to internet celebrity 1.0， the2.0 emphasizes the celebritys content and opinions， especially the innovative and original ones， which point directly to the absolute demand of recreation among the young group.

The internet celebrities now are the content maker， so whether they can provide high-quality content is the key to their success. Some analysis pointed out that if the content of internet celebrity was away from mainstream values， it will be hard to form long-term influence and will soon be forgotten by the others like the instant celebrities who become famous by gossip news and appearances.

We can draw a conclusion that a successful internet celebrity has to publish their videos or words every day or at least every week， because the frequent program increase the possibility to contact with the fans.

Then， the content is always the most important. An internet celebrity must have a main value or an attractive content which delivers positive energy.

So we can see that even an internet celebrity has to be hardworking. We used to think that internet celebrities become famous just because of their appearances or their shocking words， but in fact internet celebrities with no contents or spirits will never be famous for long ，and those who achieve are always diligent no matter what they do.

We should always believe that theres a possibility to gain only through pain and nothing can be gained without an effort.
