《我們身處的謊言世界》（The Lie WeLive）——由上傳者Freshtastical制作發(fā)布在YouTube的2015年勵(lì)志片，共28種語(yǔ)言。本片講述了一系列社會(huì)問題丶環(huán)境保護(hù)丶大自然、全球化和陰謀論，以及未來展望對(duì)人類的覺醒。

人類生存了幾千年，我們已經(jīng)精通了一切殺戮技巧，現(xiàn)在是不是該學(xué)習(xí)如何感受生活的美妙了？

At this moment you could be anywhere， doing anything. Instead you sit alone before a screen. So what'sstopping us from doing what we want？ Being where we want to be？

Each day we wake up in the same room and follow the same path， to live the same day as yesterday. Yet atone time each day was a new adventure. Along the way something changed.

每天我們都在同樣的房間醒來，遵循同樣的生活軌跡，過著和昨天同樣的生活。曾幾何時(shí)每一天都是一場(chǎng)新的冒險(xiǎn)。然而某種改變發(fā)生了。

Before our days were timeless， now our days are scheduled. Is this what it means to be grown up？ To be free？But are we really free？

曾經(jīng)的一天沒有時(shí)間的束縛，如今的一天卻被各種計(jì)劃占據(jù)。難道這就是長(zhǎng)大后的生活？我們追求著所謂的自由，可是我們真的自由嗎？

Food， water， land. The very elements we need to survive are owned by corporations. There's no food for uson trees， no freshwater in streams， no land to build a home.

食物、水、土地。我們需要的生存元素都被大企業(yè)壟斷。樹上沒有食物，河里沒有清水，沒有土地來建造家園。

If you try and take what the Earth provides you'll be locked away. So we obey their rules. We discover theworld through a textbook.

如果你嘗試享用地球所供給的東西，你就已經(jīng)被關(guān)在了牢籠之中。于是我們服從他們的規(guī)定。我們通過教科書來了解世界。

For years we sit and regurgitate what we're told. Tested and graded like subjects in a lab.

多年來我們坐著機(jī)械式地被灌輸千篇一律的知識(shí)。像試驗(yàn)品一樣被測(cè)試和評(píng)分。

Raised not to make a difference in this world， raised to be no different. Smart enough to do our job but notto question why we do it.

不被撫育去改變世界、做與眾不同的人。聰明到能夠完成眼下的工作卻從不質(zhì)疑為什么要這樣做。

So we work and work， left with no time to live the life we work for. Until a day comes when we are too old todo our job.

于是我們不停地工作，無暇享受自己心目中追求已久的生活。直到肉體衰老無力行動(dòng)。

It is here we are left to die. Our children take our place in the game. To us our path is unique， but togetherwe are nothing more than fuel. The fuel that powers the elite.

我們的一生就會(huì)在此止步，而我們的孩子則會(huì)代替我們繼續(xù)這一場(chǎng)游戲。我們總覺得自己的人生是獨(dú)特的。但我們加在一起不過是燃料而已——驅(qū)動(dòng)著精英們的燃料。

The elite who hide behind the logos of corporations. This is their world. And their most valuable resource isnot in the ground. It is us.

那些隱藏在大企業(yè)商標(biāo)后的精英們，這是他們的世界。他們最有利的資源不在地下，而是我們。

We build their cities， we run their machines， we fight their wars. After all， money isn't what drives them. It'spower.

我們建造他們的城市，操作他們的機(jī)器，殘殺于他們的戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)。說到底驅(qū)動(dòng)他們的不是金錢，而是權(quán)利。

Money is simply the tool they use to control us. Worthless pieces of paper we depend on to feed us， moveus， entertain us.endprint

They gave us money and in return we gave them the world. Where there were trees that cleaned our air arenow factories that poison it.

他們付錢給我們，而我們卻把整個(gè)世界拱手相讓。曾經(jīng)為我們進(jìn)化空氣的森林，如今成為了一座座污染大氣的工廠。

Where there was water to drink， is toxic waste that stinks. Where animals ran free， are factory farms wherethey are born and slaughtered endlessly for our satisfaction.

曾經(jīng)我們?nèi)∷嫷那宄汉恿鳎F(xiàn)在卻被臭氣熏天的有毒廢料占據(jù)。曾經(jīng)動(dòng)物們自由奔跑的土地，成了無限養(yǎng)殖屠殺動(dòng)物的工廠化農(nóng)場(chǎng)，以飽我們口腹之欲。

Over a billion people are starving， despite us having enough food for everybody. Where does it all go？70%of the grain we grow is fed to fatten the animals you eat for dinner.

我們的糧食能夠喂飽全世界，但卻有超過十億人每天在忍饑挨餓。它們都到哪里去了？70%我們種植的谷物都用于喂給了我們要吃的動(dòng)物。

Why help the starving？ You can't profit off them. We are like a plague sweeping the earth， tearing apart thevery environment that allows us to live.

為什么要幫助饑民們？你不能從他們身上獲利。我們似乎成為了一種肆虐地球的瘟疫，把賴以生存的環(huán)境破壞的支離破碎。

We see everything as something to be sold， as an object to be owned. But what happens when we havepolluted the last river？

Poisoned the last breath of air？ Have no oil for the trucks that bring us our food？ When will we realize moneycan't be eaten， that it has no value？

毒化了最后一絲純凈的空氣，沒有汽油供卡車來運(yùn)送食物給我們？我們何時(shí)才能意識(shí)到毫無價(jià)值的錢是不能吃的？

We aren't destroying the planet. We are destroying all life on it. Every year thousands of species go extinct.

我們并不是在毀滅地球，而是在毀滅地球上的所有生靈。每年，成千上萬的物種瀕臨滅絕。

And time is running out before we're next. If you live in America there's a 41% chance you'll get cancer.

很快就將輪到我們。如果住在美國(guó)，你將有41%的幾率患上癌癥。

Heart disease will kill one out of three Americans. We take prescription drugs to deal with these problems，but medical care is the third leading cause of death behind cancer and heart disease.

We're told everything can be solved by throwing money at scientists so they can discover a pill to make ourproblems go away. But the drug companies and cancer societies rely on our suffering to make a profit.

We think we're running for a cure， but really we're running away from the cause. Our body is a product ofwhat we consume and the food we eat is designed purely for profit.

We fill ourselves with toxic chemicals. The bodies of animals infested with drugs and diseases. But we don'tsee this.

我們把有毒化學(xué)添加劑塞入自己的身體。我們吃的動(dòng)物已經(jīng)被藥物和疾病感染，但是我們卻什么都看不見。

The small group of corporations that own the media don't want us to. Surrounding us with a fantasy we'retold is reality.

那些掌控媒體的企業(yè)小集團(tuán)不讓我們看到。我們活在一個(gè)被我們視為真實(shí)的幻象世界里。

It's funny to think humans once thought the earth was the center of the universe. But then again， now we seeourselves as the center of the planet.

有趣的是，人類曾以為地球是宇宙的中心。但現(xiàn)在我們又妄想自己是地球的中心。

We point to our technology and say we're the smartest. But do computers， cars， and factories really illustratehow intelligent we are？

我們指著我們的科技成果囂張地宣布我們是最聰明的物種。但是電腦、汽車、機(jī)器人真的能夠證明我們多聰明嗎？

Or do they show how lazy we've become. We put this " civilized" mask on. But when you strip that away whatare we？

還是揭露了我們變得有多懶惰？我們戴著這個(gè)美其名曰"文明"的面具，但當(dāng)面具被摘下時(shí)我們是什么？

How quickly we forget only within past hundred years did we allow women to vote； allow blacks to live asequals. We act as if we are all-knowing beings， yet there is much we fail to see.

這么快我們就忘了"允許女性參與投票"、"承認(rèn)黑人和我們平等"這些轉(zhuǎn)變也不過是近100年的事情。我們表現(xiàn)的好像自己全知全能，但是我們沒有看到的還有太多。

We walk down the street ignoring all the little things. The eyes who stare. The stories they share. Seeingeverything as a background to 'me'.

我們走在街上無視那些渺小的事物，那些看著你眼睛、急于分享的故事。一切都是襯托自己的背景。

Perhaps we fear we're not alone. That we are a part of a much bigger picture. But we fail to make theconnection.

可能是我們擔(dān)心自己不再獨(dú)一無二，擔(dān)心自己只是滄海一粟。但我們沒有同其他生命建立聯(lián)系。

We're okay killing pigs， cows， chickens， strangers from foreign lands. But not our neighbours， not our dogs，our cats， those we have come to love and understand.

我們覺得殺豬、牛、雞乃至其他國(guó)家的陌生人沒有問題。卻又不允許鄰居，貓狗，那些我們理解和愛的人被傷害。

We call other creatures stupid yet we point to them to justify our actions. But does killing simply because wecan， because we always have， make it right？

我們聲稱其他生物很愚蠢，卻又將槍口對(duì)準(zhǔn)他們來為自己的行為辯護(hù)。但僅因?yàn)闅⒙驹谖覀兡芰Ψ秶鷥?nèi)、常常伴隨我們就代表了殺戮是正當(dāng)?shù)膯幔?/p>

Or does it show how little we've learned. That we continue to act out of primal aggression rather thanthought and compassion.

還是說它體現(xiàn)了我們有多無知？我們的行為總帶著原始人般的侵略性，而不是文明人該有的理智和慈悲。

One day， this sensation we call life will leave us. Our bodies will rot， our valuables recollected.

總有一天，這種被稱作生命的感知能力將離開我們。我們的軀體將會(huì)腐爛，我們的財(cái)物將變成記憶。

Yesterday's actions all that remain. Death constantly surrounds us， still it seems so distant from our everydayreality.endprint

We live in a world on the verge of collapse. The wars of tomorrow will have no winners.

我們活在一個(gè)瀕臨崩潰的世界。明天的戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)將沒有勝者。

For violence will never be the answer； it will destroy every possible solution. If we all look at our innermostdesire， we will see our dreams are not so different.

因?yàn)楸┝τ肋h(yuǎn)都不能成為答案。暴力只會(huì)毀滅每一個(gè)可能的答案。如果每個(gè)人都能靜下心來審視自己內(nèi)心最深處的渴望，就會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)我們的夢(mèng)想并非那么天差地別。

We share a common goal. Happiness. We tear the world apart looking for joy， without ever looking withinourselves.

大家都有一個(gè)共同的目標(biāo)——快樂。為了尋求享受，我們把這個(gè)世界折磨的支離破碎，卻從未嘗試審視自己的內(nèi)心。

Many of the happiest people are those who own the least. But are we really so happy with our iPhones， ourbig houses， our fancy cars？

最快樂的人往往是擁有物質(zhì)最少的人。但我們有了iphone、豪宅、靚車之后就真的會(huì)快樂嗎？

. . . ... We've become disconnected. Idolizing people we've never met.

。。。人們的隔閡越來越深，以至于把從未見過的人當(dāng)做偶像。

We witness the extraordinary on screens but ordinary everywhere else. We wait for someone to bring changewithout ever thinking of changing ourselves.

我們見證著屏幕里的偉大事跡，卻在自己的生活中處處平凡。我們坐等別人改變世界，卻從未想過要改變自己。

Presidential elections might as well be a coin toss. It's two sides of the same coin. We choose which face wewant and the illusion of choice， of change is created.

總統(tǒng)選舉就像是拋硬幣，不管哪一面都是同一個(gè)硬幣。我們選擇自己想要的一面，仿佛參與了某種改變和選擇。

But the world remains the same. We fail to realize the politicians don't serve us； they serve those who fundthem into power.

但這個(gè)世界依舊一成不變。我們沒有意識(shí)到政治家不會(huì)為我們服務(wù)，他們不過是服務(wù)于贊助人的傀儡。

We need leaders， not politicians. But in this world of followers， we have forgotten to lead ourselves.

我們需要的是領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者而非政治家。但在這個(gè)充斥著盲從者的世界里，我們忘記了要做自己的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者。

Stop waiting for change and be the change you want to see. We didn't get to this point by sitting on ourasses.

別再等待改變的到來，去創(chuàng)造你想要看到的改變吧。我們能擁有今天的一切并不是一路坐著看來的。

The human race survived not because we are fastest or the strongest， but because we worked together. Wehave mastered the act of killing. Now let's master the joy of living.

人類的幸存并不是因?yàn)槲覀冏羁臁⒆顝?qiáng)壯，而是因?yàn)槲覀兌煤献鳌Ｎ覀円呀?jīng)精通了殺戮的技巧，現(xiàn)在應(yīng)該學(xué)習(xí)生命的美妙。

Earth has been around for billions of years， each of us will be lucky to last eighty. We are a flash in time， butour impact is forever.

地球已經(jīng)存在了幾十億年，我們每個(gè)人有幸才能活到80多年。我們只是時(shí)間長(zhǎng)河中的一瞬閃光，但我們的影響確是永恒的。

I often wished I lived in an age before computers， when we didn't have screens to distract us. But I realizethere's one reason why this is the only time I want to be alive.endprint

我常希望自己生活在電腦之前的年代里，這樣我們才不會(huì)被屏幕里的信息分散注意力。然而我意識(shí)到，我想要活在當(dāng)下也有一個(gè)原因。

Because here today， we have an opportunity we never had before. The internet gives us the power to share amessage and unite millions around the world.

因?yàn)榻裉煳覀冇兄八从械臋C(jī)遇。網(wǎng)絡(luò)給予了我們分享信息，聯(lián)合世界各地幾百萬人的力量。

While we still can we must use our screens to bring us closely together， rather than farther apart. For betteror worse， our generation will determine the future of life on this planet.

趁還來得及，我們必須用網(wǎng)絡(luò)來拉近我們之間的距離，而不是推得越來越遠(yuǎn)。無論好壞，我們這一代將決定這個(gè)星球的未來。

We can either continue to serve this system of destruction until no memory of our existence remains. Or wecan wake up. Realize we aren't evolving upwards， but rather falling down... we just have screens in our facesso we don't see where we're heading.

我們要么繼續(xù)服務(wù)于這個(gè)自我毀滅的系統(tǒng)直到我們存在過的記憶消失殆盡。要么覺醒，意識(shí)到自己并不是在向前進(jìn)而是在不斷衰敗。我們把電子屏幕擺在面前，所以看不到前路。

This present moment is what every step， every breath and every death has led to. We are the faces of all whocame before us. And now it is our turn.

過去的每一個(gè)腳步，每一次呼吸，每一次死亡將世界帶領(lǐng)到了當(dāng)下。所有的前人決定了我們今天的面貌。現(xiàn)在輪到了我們。

You can choose to carve your own path or follow the road countless others have already taken. Life is not amovie. The script isn't already written. We are the writers.

你可以選擇開辟自己的道路，或是繼續(xù)無數(shù)前人走過的道路。生活不是電影，劇本還未完成。我們就是編劇。

This is your story， their story， our story.
