Standing on the platform of the 454 meters' Canton Tower, inside the highest ferris wheel all over the world, overlooking the Liede Bridge, Haixinsha Island, the Grand Theater, towering CBD buildings, the zigzag Pearl River and Dragon Boat competitions which are held right during the Dragon Boat Festival, Joyce Jonathan is amazed and excited. After a while, this French folk lore princess, who had owned her fi rst Platinum Record at her 22 and has a huge popularity among young Chinese, took out her Phone to take a selfi e with Guangzhou City in the Crystal Cabinet. She said that she wanted to share this beautiful view in Guangzhou with her friends.

喬伊斯·喬納森喜歡這樣的廣州

在454米的廣州塔頂平臺、世界最高橫向摩天輪里，看著腳下掠過的獵德大橋、海心沙、大劇院，高聳的CBD大樓、蜿蜒的珠江水道，還有端午節正在進行的龍舟賽，喬伊斯·喬納森一點點露出驚奇和喜悅的表情。

過了一會兒，這位22歲就擁有了自己第一張白金唱片、在中國年輕人中擁有高人氣的法國民謠小天后，掏出自己的手機，主動在水晶艙里玩起了與廣州的“自拍”。她說要讓朋友們也看一下，她現在，正在如此漂亮的廣州。

Singing on the Top

On May 30th, while Joyce Jonathan's performance with Festival Croisements 2017 in Guangzhou, she joined a visit called “Joyce's Trip in Guangzhou”that was organized by China Southern Air Holding Media CO..LTD, Tourism Administration of Guangzhou and Consulate General of the Republic of France in Guangzhou, and visited two representative places in Guangzhou, Canton Tower and Chen Clam Academy. Joyce said that this was not her fi rst visit, but previously, she was just passing through without a chance to know more about the city. This time, to better introduce the city to the whole world, China Southern Air Holding Media CO.LTD planed this event to make Joyce see and feel the city close enough and to give her an unforgettable Guangzhou experience.

Canton Tower was her fi rst stop. On the way to Canton Tower, this 600-meter high, which is also third highest sightseeing tower in the world, captured her attention. Then people illustrated, because of its shape — two wider ends with thinner middle, it was also called Small Waist. The other members in Joyce's team were right away attracted by this nick name and gesticulated to her: just like you.

The trip was climaxed with the horizontal ferris wheel of Canton Tower where you could fl y with a 360 degree wonderful view in sky. The guest hostess Qin Si, who was specially selected from the fl ight attendants of China Southern's Cabin Service Division, kept introducing every famous spots and places in Guangzhou in English. “This is Haixinsha. It is a Stadium in water that was specially built for 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. This is the Grand Theater. It was designed by the fi rst female winner of Pritzker Architecture Prize, British Iraqi designer Zaha Hadid……”Joyce was continuously absorbed in the information and impressed by Guangzhou's modern and fashionable images. It was right on the Dragon Boat Festival that day. Liede River was spotted with some Dragon boats. Qin Si also explained the local tradition and customsof the Dragon Boat Festivals in Lingnan Area to Joyce, which aroused her curiosity about traditional culture of this energetic city.

How many delicious Cantonese foods are there on earth?

During the foods experience in Chinese restaurant Huiyue House in Canton Tower, Joyce was fascinated by Guangzhou's modern and traditional charms. As soon as she stepped into the lounge, she fell in love with the Lingnan style decorations and interior designs, especially the tea set of Kung Fu Tea in the resting area. After the special Kung Fu Tea training in passenger cabinet, Qin Si served then as a tea master and explained the history of tea in China for Joyce. Her professional narration and standard movements attracted all the foreign guests to the table. The tea master in the restaurant aside said that the fl ight attendant of China Southern was so amazing. She knew Kung Fu Tea and could explain everything in English. Really international service.

After the foods experience, Joyce was totally conquered by the delicious in Guangdong. On our way to the next signature touristic place Chan Clam Temple, she asked her company from Consulate General of France in Guangzhou, “have we tried all the representative delicious foods in Guangzhou today? ” When she got an answer with no, she said immediately, “When could we come here again next time?”

Traveling is encountering everything like a child

While visiting Chen Clam Academy, Joyce was fascinated by those unique rituals in temple and architectural styles.

Christophe Dreyer, the president of Alliance Fran?aise de Canton, who was coming together with Joyce and had an huge interest in Chinese culture, worked as a tour guide and interpreter. Though he had been in Guangzhou for not a long time, he was amazed by this city. He said that people's lifestyle here was very modern, but they showed a lot respect for the tradition left by their ancestors. Next year would be the 30th anniversary for his hometown Leon and Guangzhou being sister cities. He loved both two cities very much. Joyce also encountered the paper cutting master Yang Wensheng, when she visited the place showing folk crafts. Yang said, “The fi rst time I gave a paper cutting as a gift for a French star was for Sophie Marceau, and the second now is for you.“Receiving this gift, Joyce was very excited and kept it in hand carefully.

After a half-day interview, we also moved by this folk lore princess, by her friendliness and true feeling for Guangzhou. Like she said before, the attraction of traveling was to break the normal life. It's away from your routines—you get up and eat your breakfast, you know where you go today, and who you meet. Traveling will give you something incredible, and this might make you amazed or surprised. You act like a child, and every day comes like very fresh and vivid. You have a lot of interesting things to fi nd out and many surprises to expect.

最高塔上的歌唱

5月30日， 正在廣州參與“2017中法文化之春”文化節演出的喬伊斯·喬納森，加入了南航文化傳媒公司與廣州旅游局、法國駐廣州總領事館共同策劃的 “喬伊斯游廣州”探訪活動，游覽廣州兩大代表性景點——廣州塔、陳家祠（南航中轉免費旅游服務亦涵蓋）。喬伊斯說，她并不是第一次到廣州，但以前都是匆匆路過并沒有機會接觸。這次，為更好地向世界宣傳廣州，南航文化傳媒公司發起并策劃的這次探訪活動，為了給喬伊斯留下一個難忘的廣州體驗。

廣州塔是她此行的第一站。還在路上的時候，這座600米的世界第三高觀光塔，就吸引了她的注意。大家解釋說，因為中間窄、兩頭寬，所以中國民眾喜歡叫它的別名“小蠻腰”，喬伊斯樂團的同伴們立刻被這個稱呼吸引，還比劃了一下她的腰說：就像你的一樣。

廣州塔橫向摩天輪是本次探訪的高潮，360度美景在高空中一一劃過。為本次活動特別選出的客座主持南航空姐秦思，不斷用流利的英文向喬伊斯介紹著廣州的各個代表性建筑：“這個叫海心沙，是為2010年廣州亞運會特別建造的水中體育館；這個叫大劇院，由第一位獲得普利茲克建筑獎的女性、英籍伊拉克設計師扎哈·哈迪德設計……”這些信息不斷引起喬伊斯的注意，加深了她對廣州時尚、現代一面的印象。正巧，當天是中國端午節，獵德河涌里有數條龍舟正在滑動，秦思順便就此向喬伊斯講解了嶺南地區的端午龍舟傳統，又讓她對廣州魅力四射的傳統習俗充滿好奇。

究竟還有多少好吃的粵菜？

在廣州塔的暉粵軒中餐廳進行美食體驗環節時，她一直被廣州既現代又傳統的風情吸引。喬伊斯一進包間，就喜歡上室內充滿嶺南風情的裝飾和配件，尤其是休息區的功夫茶桌茶具。經過客艙部嚴格茶藝訓練的秦思，馬上充當起了茶藝師，向喬伊斯講述起中國的茶文化。她專業的講述和標準的動作，把所有的外國嘉賓都吸引到了桌前。旁邊的餐廳茶藝師說：“你們南航的空姐們也太厲害了，又懂中國茶藝，又能用英文講解，果然是國際化服務。”

一輪豐富的美食體驗后，喬伊斯顯然已經被粵菜征服。在我們奔赴廣州的另一個標志性景點——陳家祠的路上，她問身邊法領館的同伴：“我們今天已經嘗到廣州全部的代表性美食嗎？”被回答“遠遠沒有”后，她立刻說：“下次了，我們什么時候再來呢？”

旅行就是像孩子一樣去遇見

參觀陳家祠時，喬伊斯被廣州特有的宗祠傳統、建筑風格吸引。

隨行的法語聯盟校長李多福充當起翻譯和講解員的角色。對中國文化頗有興趣的他，雖然才來廣州不久，但已經被這座城市深深吸引。他說，這里的人生活方式非常現代，但骨子里又非常尊重祖先留下的傳統。參觀民俗工藝時，喬伊斯剛好遇到剪紙大師楊文生。大師說：“我第一次送中國剪紙給的法國明星是蘇菲·瑪索，第二位就是你了。”得到這份特別的禮物，喬伊斯很欣喜，小心地握在手里。

經過半天的采訪，大家都被這位小天后的平易近人以及她對廣州的真實喜愛打動。喬伊斯說旅行最吸引人之處就是打破了常規的生活，而不似平常——知道起床就要吃早餐、知道今天要去哪里、見到誰。“旅行會有一些難以預見的事情，這些事情通常能讓你驚訝、驚喜，你會變成像小朋友，每天都很鮮活，每天都很多有趣的發現，有很多驚喜在等待著你。”喬伊斯說她還會再來，而南航的大本營——廣州，也會一次又一次地給她更多的驚喜。

Q&A with Joyce Jonathan問問喬伊斯

NO1: if you have 72 hours in Guangzhou, so how would you like to spend it?

Q: I want to go to the Canton Tower. ( yeah, Canton Tower, exactly. Of course!)Because it's amazing. I had a chance to be there with you , and to see the view. I would love to do some boats, like a detour on a boat, and to have a great dinner with Canton food. And...I had a chance to eat some specialties. And it's amazing. I love it.

NO2: if you have a chance to introduce Canton to your friends, how would you introduce this city?

Q: Canton is big....It's really warm. (oh yean , hot!) And there's something very oriental. Like...even in the food, it's really oriental. There's a lot of nuts, a lot of sugars and sauce on the food. (It's quite sweet.) Maybe the most oriental city in China that I saw.

NO3: What do you want to say to your fans in Chinese

Q: Hi,Everybody,I'm Joy.I like Guangzhou very much!

Q1：如果你有72小時在廣州游玩，你會怎樣度過？

喬伊斯：我想要再去廣州塔，因為它太漂亮了。我已經和你去過一次，去上面觀光。我還想去乘船游覽，然后.....在船上面吃一些很棒的廣東菜。我嘗過一些特色廣東菜了，很棒！我很喜歡。

Q2： 如果你有機會向你的朋友介紹廣州，你會怎么介紹？

喬伊斯：廣州很大.....天氣很熱。有很多東方的東西。比如，在食物中就有很多東方特色。比如有很多堅果，有很多糖和醬料。很甜。廣州可能是我見過最東方的城市。

喬伊斯：大家好，我是喬伊斯。嗯，我很喜歡廣州。
